Vaidehi Sharma's POV:
Dear Diary,
July 13, 2024I can barely believe what happened yesterday - I got engaged! It all feels so surreal, like a dream I'm waiting to wake up from.
And to think, I'm engaged to my boss! I used to have feelings for him, and his mother seems to adore me, but it's all happening so fast.
I'm not complaining, though - I'm winning, after all!
But amidst all the happiness and excitement, there's a darkness that still lingers.
Those hands, they still haunt me. The memories of that person still creep into my dreams, taunting me.
I wish I could shake them off, but they linger, a constant reminder of the past.
I miss my mother so much.
If she were here, maybe things would be different. Maybe she could have guided me through all this. But she's gone, and everything has changed since her passing.
I just hope that monster from my past never comes back to haunt me again. I hope our paths never cross again.
I couldn't bear to face him again.Yours truly,
VaidehiAfter completing writing diary.
As I closed my diary and placed it on the table, I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I got out of bed and headed to the washroom to get ready for the day. I put on my formal outfit, trying to look professional and composed, despite the butterflies in my stomach.Today was going to be different. Yesterday's engagement had changed everything. I was now officially Aayansh's fiancée, and I couldn't help but wonder how things would be at the office.
I tried to eat breakfast, but my appetite was gone. I was too nervous, too excited. I settled for a cup of coffee, hoping it would calm my nerves.
As I headed out the door, I took a deep breath. I was ready to face whatever the day had in store for me. Little did I know, it would be a day filled with surprises, awkward encounters, and unexpected revelations.
I made my way to the office, my heart racing with anticipation. What would Aayansh be like today? Would he be cold and distant, or would he finally show me a glimmer of warmth? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the day ahead, trying to prepare myself for whatever lay in store.
As I settled into the cab, I drifted off into my own little world, lost in thought. But my reverie was short-lived, as the driver slammed on the brakes, jolting me back to reality.
"What the...! Why did you stop the car like that?" I exclaimed, my heart racing from the sudden halt.
"Sorry, madam," the driver replied, his voice calm and apologetic. "We're stuck in traffic."
