Vaidehi Sharma's POV:
Next day at Mumbai international airport
"Maa, I'm not a child, I will take care of myself. You both don't take any stress, just enjoy your vacation," Aayansh said, hugging his mother and giving her a kiss on the forehead.
I looked at Mr. Shekhawat and touched his feet. He patted my cheeks and hugged me. "God bless you, beta! Take care of yourself and also please take care of this young man," Mr. Shekhawat said, referring to Aayansh, and I blushed.
"Of course, Papa, I will! Don't take stress, I'm here right," I smiled, and we pulled out of the hug. Then I hugged Mrs. Shekhawat. "Beta, until we come back, enjoy this single life of yours, then you both have to marry!" she said, chuckling with Mr. Shekhawat. I looked at Aayansh, smirking, and he glared at me, so I pouted.
As we pulled out of the hug, I couldn't help but notice the sparkle in Mrs. Shekhawat's eyes. She was already planning our wedding, I could tell. I blushed at the thought, and Aayansh's glare only made me blush more.
"Let's get going, we have a long flight ahead of us," Mr. Shekhawat said, breaking the awkward moment.
As we walked towards the door, Aayansh fell back beside me. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" he whispered, his voice low and husky.
I smiled mischievously. "Maybe a little."
Aayansh rolled his eyes, but I could see the hint of irritation in his lips. "You're going to pay for this, Vaidehi."
I laughed, feeling a flutter in my chest. "I'm shaking in my boots, Aayansh" I replied to aayansh sarcastically.
We reached the door, and Mrs. Shekhawat turned around, her eyes shining with tears. "Take care of each other, my children."
I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. "We will, Maa."
They left, and we went back to the company.
As my shift was over,
I went inside the elevator and received a call from Aarohi,
asking me to meet her at **** Restaurant.
I agreed, and when I arrived, I called Aarohi.
She came in front of me, smiling like an idiot for no apparent reason.Suddenly, I felt hands on my eyes, blocking my view. "Who is this?" I asked,
and Aarohi started chuckling. "Guess who it is?" she said. After struggling to guess, I exclaimed in irritation, "Oh, please leave me! Who are you? I don't find this game any fun!"
The hands released, and I turned around to see my male best friend, Abhinav. "Abhiiiiiiii!" I jumped and wrapped my arms around his torso, and he also wrapped his arms around me. "Madam, you take too much time to guess, but still, you didn't," he said, pouting.I pulled out of the hug and slapped his arm. "Do you know how much I missed you?" I said, smiling.
Abhinav retorted, "Oh, I see how much you missed me! You even got engaged and didn't bother to tell me."
Aarohi intervened, "You don't know anything, Abhi. This madam seems obsessed with her fiancé." She smirked, and I blushed.
