Aayansh shekhawat's POV:
I woke up in my cold and empty king-size bed, a constant reminder of the void left by my wife's passing. This bedroom, this bed, the mirror, the curtains - everything in this room seemed to be suffocating me, a constant reminder of my loss. My wife shruti, my love, my comfort zone she was my home, and without her, I felt lost and alone in this cruel world. I never thought I could survive without her, but I knew I had to keep going, for her sake and for my own. I vowed to take revenge on those responsible for shruti's murder, to make them pay for their heinous crime.
I picked up shruti's photo from the bedside table, caressing it as tears streamed down my face "I still love you so much, I will not let those people live happily after taking you away from me!"
I sobbed, my voice breaking with emotion. "I miss you so much, mein abhi bhi tumhe bohot miss karta hu shruti"
I kissed her photo, holding it close to my heart, the pain of her loss still raw and unbearable.I got up from bed and took a shower. I put on my formal white shirt, black pants, and black coat. As I looked at my tie on the dressing table, a flashback hit me.
Flashback startsI was rushing to get ready for work
"Hey where is my watch?" I asked my wife shruti who is standing with my watch in her hand and she said "here is your watch! Look you are late again that's why I was telling you in morning that aayansh no more cuddles and get up but you don't listen to me at all! Haa? Esa kese chalta hai tum"
(Huh? How does it works?)
She was scolding me, I went closer to her and pull her by waist
"Mrs shekhawat i don't like to get scold but when it's you...I love to see your cute angry face" I whispered into her ears with playful smrik for a second she shivered but pushed me lightly with her elbow.
"You're going to be late for office go now you have meeting on 10:30 am and it's already 9:40am" then I looked at watch and saw its really late.. I started to hurry again
"Shruti where is my tie?" She came near me with tie and put her feet's on my to reach my height and I grab her by waist she started to help me to wear tie.
As she helped me with my tie, our eyes met, and I was filled with love for her.Flashback ends
I was back in the present, tears welling up in my eyes as I remembered that fond moment. I haven't worn a tie since shruti's passing, as it's a reminder of the memories we shared, and I can't bear to tie it myself.
After getting ready, I headed outside of my house to my car, where my driver was waiting. He started the engine, and we drove to the company. The silence in the car was a stark contrast to the laughter and banter I used to share with my wife.I was lost in thought, but the driver's voice broke the spell. "Boss, we've arrived at your company" I snapped back to my professional demeanor and stepped out of the car with an air of confidence. As I entered the building, the familiar sight of employees bowing and wishing me good morning greeted me. As was my custom, I ignored their greetings and strode directly to my cabin, my expression stern and focused on the day's tasks ahead.
I entered my spacious cabin, adorned with a large table and two chairs for visitors, and made my way to my imposing chair, reminiscent of a king's throne. As I sat down, my gaze fell upon the photo of Shruti and me on my table, eliciting a painful chuckle. The momentary nostalgia was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Yes, come in"
I replied in my professional tone.
My secretary, Mrs. Kapoor, a woman in her late 40s, entered with a warm smile and placed some files on my table. "Good morning, boss. These are the files of the new candidates arriving for their interviews this evening" I nodded, scanning the files with my eyes, and asked, "Mrs. Kapoor, do I have any meetings scheduled for today?"
"Yes, boss, you have a meeting with the CEO of SB Corporation, followed by the interviews with the 15 shortlisted candidates" she replied sweetly. "Okay, Mrs. Kapoor. You may leave now. And please ask Girish to bring me my cold coffee" She nodded and departed, leaving me to my thoughts.Girish brought me my cold coffee, and I sipped it while reviewing the files for my meeting with SB Corporation. When Mrs. Kapoor announced their arrival, I walked into the meeting room with confidence and attitude. I could feel the eyes of the female employees on me, but I stayed focused. The meeting went smoothly and ended before lunch. I had lunch with the CEO of SB Corporation at a nearby restaurant, and then returned to my office to work on my laptop.
At 5 pm, my secretary informed me that the candidates had arrived. I prepared myself for the interviews. Out of the fourteenth candidates who came, only two were selected. As the last candidate left, I felt a moment of solitude and my hand instinctively reached for Shruti's photo. But just then, I heard a knock on my door. Another female candidate, walked in, looking a bit nervous but exuding a sense of confidence. Her elegant attire caught my attention - she wasn't like the other female candidates who tried to grab my attention with revealing clothes. I asked her to take a seat. Clearing my throat, I began, 'So, you are Miss Vaidehi Sharma...'"
