Aayansh shekhawat's POV :

I don't know what's cooking in my mom's mind... I don't even care. I reached my house and heard giggling. I opened the door and saw my mom, dad, and Vaidehi sitting together on the couch. I cleared my throat to get everyone's attention, and everyone looked at me.

As I cleared my throat, the giggling stopped, and everyone turned to look at me. My mom and dad were sitting on the couch, and Vaidehi was sitting in an armchair next to them. They all had big smiles on their faces, and I could tell they were having a great time. But after seeing me vaidehi looks slightly nervous.

"Hey, sweetie!" my mom said, standing up to greet me. "Come join us! We were just having a lovely conversation with Vaidehi."

I raised an eyebrow, curious about what they could be talking about. "What's going on?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Vaidehi looks at her fingers she is looking nervous, and my dad patted the couch next to him. "Come sit down, son. We were just getting to know Vaidehi better."

I hesitated for a moment, then sat down next to my dad. My mom sat down on my other side, and Vaidehi turned to face us.

"So, Vaidehi was telling us about her," my mom said, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Vaidehi you're a great child maybe your family loves you so much right?."

I looked at Vaidehi, surprised. I didn't know much about her family, and I hadn't realized my mom was interested.

"Yeah, they're great," Vaidehi said, she was looking lost the smile she was having some seconds ago. "I come from a big family but I'm not that attached with them"

My dad understood vaidehi is not comfortable with talking about her family. "I can imagine," he said. "We're a pretty quiet family, but we have our moments."

The conversation went on like that for a while, with my mom and dad asking Vaidehi questions and laughing together. I sat there, feeling a bit left out, but also curious about what was going on.

It was clear that my mom had taken a liking to Vaidehi, and I wasn't sure why. But as I watched them interact, I started to feel a sense of unease. What was my mom's motive for inviting Vaidehi over? And why was she being so nice to her? I didn't have the answers, but I was determined to find out.

Suddenly, my mom asks Vaidehi, ''What type of man do you want to marry? Do you want a rich guy?'' Vaidehi replies, ''It doesn't matter, Aunty. I don't want money. I just want a family man whose first priority is family, who will be understanding and supportive. That's all I need.'' I get up and say, ''Mom, call me at dinner time. I have some work to finish.'' Then, I go to my room.

As I walk into my room, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. I'm glad to be escaping the awkward conversation that's unfolding in the living room. But as I sit down at my desk and begin to focus on my work, I can't shake the feeling that my mom is up to something.
I try to push the thoughts out of my head and focus on my work, but I can't help but wonder what my mom's motives are.
As I work, I can't shake the feeling that my mom is hiding something from me.
What is my mom planning? And why is Vaidehi suddenly at the center of it all? I don't have the answers, but I'm determined to find out.
