CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

THIRD PERSON's POV

"Ugh! Xyrin!" Bbibi grunted. Napaubo siya ng dugo dahil sinikmura siya ni Xyrin.

Bbibi has an incredible speed so it should be easy for her to dodge Xyrin's attack but she's still tired from the previous training. Her body is aching all over.

"Yes, baby?" malambing na sagot ni Xyrin at sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Bbibi.

Bbibi looked at her side at nakita si Glenn na nasa parehong sitwasyon niya. When Bbibi felt her body slowing down from Xyrin's attack, sumabit siya sa isang sanga ng puno at nagswing para makatungtong doon. She was catching her breath as she maintained to be alert.

Unfortunately, Glenn hit his back to a huge tree just to stop his body from flying away. "Birthday ko ba? Ang hilig niyo parati sa surprises." natatawa niya pang ani kahit napapangiwi sa sakit ng kanyang likod.

Bbibi peeled the skin of her lips. "Tsk."

They've seen this before. This test...Xyrin, Duke, and Zen experienced this test before. Pero kahit alam nilang mararanasan nila ito ni Glenn, hindi pa rin sila nakapaghanda ng maayos. Hindi rin naman kasi nila inaasahan na basta-basta na lamang aatake ang mga ito pagkadating na pagkadating nila.

Hindi ba sila pagod? Sa ibang bansa ang misyon nila at may stamina pa sila para sa test na ito?

"Looks like you still haven't controlled the beat of your heart." Zen muttered.

Natigilan silang pareho ni Glenn. Doon lang din nila napansin ang tibok ng kanilang puso. Their heartbeat is fast but it's not the heartbeat they've been using for this class. It was just an ordinary heartbeat.

"It seems impossible to do that but it's not in our kind." makahulugan niyang dugtong. "What have you been doing all this time?" nang-uuyam niya pang sabi.

Unti-unting bumilis ang tibok ng puso nila Glenn at Bbibi. Natamaan sila sa sinabi ni Zen.

"How can you properly call yourselves a senior if your level was still like this? I thought being away for a long time and coming back to face you for this test would be interesting." Zen continued. "Boring."

Boring...? Natitigilang ulit ni Bbibi sa sinabi ni Zen sa kanyang isipan. She's starting to feel the familiar rhythm of her heartbeats. Nakakaubos ng hangin at parang nakabara sa lalamunan. Pakiramdam nilang dalawa ni Glenn ay parang lalabas na mula sa kanilang dibdib ang kanilang puso dahil lakas at bilis ng tibok ng kanilang puso.

"Can't we just fail you? This is a waste of time, Xyrin. We still have to report to Duke about our mission."

"Hmm." Xyrin just smiled while looking at her girlfriend, Bbibi. "...You're right, Zen." natigilan si Bbibi. "I don't want to be with someone who's weak." nakangiti pa rin nitong sabi.

Umawang ang bibig ni Bbibi. Hindi siya makapaniwala sa narinig. Bbibi thinks she heard her heart shattered even though it's beating rapidly.

*TUG DUG! TUG DUG! TUG DUG! TUG DUG! TUG DUG! TUG DUG!*

She just came back and this is what I'll hear from her? What? Is she dumping me...?

"And Glenn?" sunod siyang tinignan ni Zen. Hindi na nakangiti si Glenn at seryoso ang kanyang mukha. Pero kita ang paghahabol nito ng hininga at nanginginig ang buong katawan niya. "You look so thin. Are you taking our Adrenaline Class, lightly? How can you grow so thin like this when you should have been eating a lot to gain strength and energy!? Do you just merely rely on your ability all this time? I am even afraid to lightly punch you as it might easily result to a few broken bones. Tsk!"
