(Central Plaza, Theed)
Meanwhile, since the Gungan army was a diversion for the droid army, Padmé, followed by Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin and R2 were sneaking closer towards the entrance to the main hangar, followed by over a dozen of Naboo guards, pilots and troops. There were still a number of battle droids guarding the palace. They stopped, and Padmé used a small red laser light to signal across the plaza.
On the other side, Captain Panaka, joined by Rabé, signaled back with his own blue laser light, and waved his hand for his troops to get ready.
Qui-Gon then kneeled in front of Anakin. "Once we get inside, you find a safe place to hide and stay there." He said.
"Sure." Anakin said nodding.
"Stay there."
As more Naboo guards and troops joined Panaka and Rabé, they started aiming their blasters at the droids. Three troops pulled up with Gian heavy patrol speeder, and it aimed it's cannon to one of the Assault Tanks. The Speeder fired, destroying the tank completely, along with the droids surrounding it.
This got the droids attention, who started firing at Panaka and the troops, and who started shooting back at them. With the droids distracted, Padmé and the Jedi led their group to the main hangar, destroying the few battle droids by the door. Padmé opened the door and everyone quickly got inside, while Panaka and his group drew the droids away from the hangar.
In the throne room, Nute Gunray, Rune Haako and several Neimoidian councilors were watching the plaza on a large viewing screen, seeing the battle starting.
"I thought the battle was going to take place far from here." Gunray said, growing nervous. "This is too close."
Just then, Darth Maul stood next to the Neimoidians. "I told you there was more to this. The Jedi are here!" He said.
In the main hangar, the doors opened and Padmé and her troops quickly began to fire at the battle droids inside it. The droids opened fire, while the Jedi continued to deflect the blaster back at them. One by one, battle droids fell on the floor.
Qui-Gon looked down at Anakin. "Ani, find cover. Quickly!" He said.
Anakin quickly did as told and started looking for a place to hide.
"Get to your ships!" Padmé ordered the pilots.
While the troops continued to shoot the droids, the pilots quickly scrambled to the N-1 starfighters stacked in the hangar bay. Anakin attempted to hide behind few boxes, but several blaster bolts almost hit him.
The pilots started to jump onboard the fighters, which already had astromech droids mounted on top of the crafts. While the troops and the droids continued to shoot, the fighters one by one started to exit the hangar bay.
R2 was pulled to one of the N-1 starfighters. It started whistling and beeping to Anakin, with the boy running to in and climbing up the latter to the ship.
More and more starfighters exited the hangar bay, when they were being targeted by few armored tanks. They missed everyone but one, with the said ship being in on one of it's wings. It started spinning as it nose dived into the field, before blowing up.
By now, Panaka and his troops had come to the hangar bay, and the Jedi and the Naboo overwhelmed the remaining droids.

(Space)
All of the N-1 starfighters, consisting of the Bravo Squadron, were flying towards the droid control ship Vuutun Palaa, when suddenly a swarm of vulture droids flew out of it and towards the Naboo starfighters.
