New Knight, New Apprentice

(Jedi Temple, Coruscant)

Dooku was in the Jedi Temple Training Ground, a courtyard located near the base of the temple's central spire which was used for the training of the Jedi. He was looking over an ancient uneti tree. The word had reached to the Jedi Temple about Obi-Wan defeating Darth Maul, but everyone had also learned about Qui-Gon's death at the hands of the Sith Lord.

While Dooku continued to look over the tree with a sad look, Yaddle approached him from behind, sympathetic look on her face.

"I used to bring Qui-Gon here as a boy." Dooku said, sensing Yaddle behind him. "He was fascinated with this tree. Having been born here on Coruscant, a planet of steel and stone, he knew nothing like it."

"The Council is leaving for Naboo." Yaddle said. "The funeral is to be held there."

In the background, the thunder was starting to rumble over the city, as the clouds covered the sky.

"I doubt i will be pleasent company." Dooku said.

"You hold them accountable?"

Dooku turned around to face Yaddle, arms behind his back. "Qui-Gon Jinn has become one with the Force." He then started walking away from the tree and past Yaddle. "It is time to let him go."

Yaddle kept looking towards Dooku as he walked past her. "And you can do this?"

This caused Dooku to stop for a moment. "What choice have i?"

As the thunder continued rumbling, Dooku left the training grounds, leaving Yaddle alone to look down.

Later, Dooku was walking in the temple hangar, approaching a DC0052 speeder. As the platform under the speeder started extending and the door opened, allowing the platform to extend outside the temple, Dooku entered the speeder and started flying out of the temple towards the city. He didn't notice that another ship flew out of the hangar and started following him, with the one piloting it being Yaddle.

Yaddle followed Dooku deeper into the city, until Dooku flew far away from the city and towards the Works, an industrial zone that was abandoned and was largely flat, covered in gases, smoke, and vapors pouring from the factories that were still standing.

Dooku flew towards the LiMerge Power Building, a large skyscraper. As the speeder entered the building, Yaddle flew her ship to the side of the building. Shutting down the engines of the ship, Yaddle looked outside and saw the door Dooku entered still being open, before she exited her ship.

Inside the small hangar, Dooku exited his speeder and approached Darth Sidious, who was standing and waiting for his ally next to a H-2 executive shuttle. Dooku was not looking pleased in the slightest.

"You've gone too far." Dooku said angrily.

"I don't know what you mean." Sidious simply said.

"Qui-Gon Jinn. You allowed Maul to kill him."

"You lost an apprentice, and so did i. All in service of our greater goals."

Sidious started walking slowly away, with Dooku soon folllowing behind. Yaddle was leaning from a side listening in, surprised at what she was hearing.
