(22 BBY, Coruscant)

10 years had passed after the invasion of Naboo and after the Skywalker brothers had been brought into the Jedi Order. During that time, Anakin continued to be trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi to become a Jedi, with the two going on many different missions, though the relationship between the two sometimes was tense and difficult. Jaden, meanwhile, continued his training as a Youngling in the Clawmouse Clan, unlocking and growing his Force ablities and learning the basics of the Lightsaber combat, while also becoming closer with his friends in the clan, particularly with Ahsoka Tano, as the two grew to become best friends. Due to their separate places in the Temple, Jaden and Anakin didn't see much of each other like they used to.

Another thing that had happened during the 10 year period was that during the last 2 years several thousand solar systems began to leave the Galactic Republic and formed a separate galactic government called the Confederacy of Independent Systems, or simply called the Separatists, which was lead by a former Jedi Master and a Count of Serenno, Dooku. This movement made it difficult for the limited number of Jedi Knights to maintain peace and order in the Galaxy.

Padmé Amidala, who had been serving as the Queen of Naboo for 4 years, stepped aside after her second term was over, but was convinced by her successor, Réillata, to serve as a representative for Naboo and the other worlds in the Chommell sector in the senate, which Padmé accepted.

Right now, Padmé, now age 24, was on her way to Coruscant, flying on a J-type diplomatic barge and escorted by 3 N-1 starfighters, to vote on a creation of an army for the Republic that would help the Jedi, an army that hadn't existed for a millennium. Padmé herself was an opponent of the act, wanting to find a peaceful solution.

Inside the shuttle, the senator was approached by Theomet Danlé, a lieutenant on the Naboo Palace Guard.

"Senator, we're making our final approach into Coruscant." Danlé said.

"Very good, lieutenant." The senator said.

Flying through the clouds that covered the entire city underneath, with only the tallest building coming out of it, the shuttle and the starfighters landed on a flying platform. One of the pilots from an N-1 starfighter got out of the ship, before the astromech accompanying her, which was R2, also exited the ship with a series of beeps.

The pilot joined up with another pilot, a Human male with brown skin and an eyepatch on his left eye named Gregar Typho, a head of Padmé security and Quarsh Panaka's nephew, who removed his helmet with a grunt.

"We made it." Typho said relieved, as he and the pilot looked at the shuttle, from which the senator, surrounded by the guards and one of the handmaidens, Versé, exited. "I guess i was wrong. There was no danger at all."

Only a second after Typho said this, the shuttle exploded, sending the two pilots and R2 flying backwards and the flames consumed the people exiting the shuttle. As Typho and the pilot got back on their feets, Typho was quick to take out his pistol while the pilot ran to the remains of the shuttle.

The pilot ran to the senator and crouched down next to her, removing her helmet and revealing herself to be Padmé, and the 'senator' being one of her bodyguards, Cordé, while Typho started checking on the bodies of the rest of the guards.

"Cordé." Padmé said worried.

Padmé gathered her barely breathing body-double in her arms, as Cordé's eyes barely opened and looked up at the senator.

"Milady, i'm so sorry." Cordé whispered. "I've failed you, Senator."

"No." Padmé shook her head.

Cordé's eyes closed and her body went limp as she died, while Typho quickly kneeled next to Padmé.
