It had been a few days since I got jumped and Johnny broke up with me. Darry let me take a few days off of school because of my injuries from being jumped.

I had barely come out of my room. Only to drink once a day and use the bathroom a few times. I hadn't cut, but I also hadn't eaten food for about four days. All my brothers were concerned, but I wouldn't come out of my room.

Finally it was the fifth day. Darry and Sodapop had work and Ponyboy had school, but I herd the entry door click open. Someone from the gang must be here. I heard them proceeding up the stairs.

The door handle on my door started to turn and the door handle swung open. Ugg, I thought I had locked it. Dally was soon standing in the doorframe.

I sent him a hard glare and said "what do you want?" He seemed angry "what are you doing, have you even gotten up in the past four days, or eaten anything?" I just shook my head

He scoffed and said, still angry "go on get ready, I'm taking you to get food."

I rolled my eyes and said "No, why do you even care anyway." This really made him angry "You don't think I've done what you've done! You don't think I've ever cut or starved myself! Trust me this is not a road you wanna go down, or you'll end up like me, tougher, colder, meaner."

I was shocked, I knew Dally had a rough life, been to jail often, no family, but he always seemed cold and hard, tough. I always thought Dally and I had nothing in common, I had kinda been scared of him, and we had never been really close.

"Now go on, get ready." Dally said, starting to get his anger in check. This time I didn't object, I quickly went to the bathroom and took a quick shower and threw on a pair of clothes.

I walked downstairs to the living room and saw Dally on the couch. "Ready?" He asked. I just nodded in response.

We made our way to the Dingo. Once we reached it we walked inside onto the familiar checkered floor. The waiter seated us at a booth, the old seats were ripped up and the table also appeared to be in bad condition, but it was the main greaser hangout.

The waiter came over to the table to take our order. He smiled at me and said in a polite tone "what can I get you?" I responded "just a water and a salad." He smiled at me once more before reluctantly turning to Dally and said "you?" Dally responded "a coke and burger." The waiter turned back to me and gave me one more smile and went towards the kitchen.

He had been pretty polite for a greaser, but he wasn't Johnny. Dally then looked at me and scoffed "you're not actually thinking about that waiter, are you?" I quickly responded "No."

"Good cause you and Johnny will get back together eventually." Dally said. Now I scoffed and said "Johnny doesn't want me, he broke up with me, and besides, he deserves better." Dally gave me a hard glare and said "He just feels bad about what happened, he still likes you."

Over the past few days I had started to feel anger towards Johnny, he had helped me when I was going through a hard time, but then just left, leaving me feeling worse than before.

I then scoffed and said "what makes you think I want to get back together with Johnny." He scowled and said "well the condition I found you in today leads me to believe you do."

I didn't say anything after that. In a few moments the waiter arrived with our food and drinks. He set them down and winking at me before he was about to walk away. Dally scoffed at him and said "she's taken." I looked at Dally and rolled my eyes.

The waiter walked away, embarrassed. I then gave Dally a scowl, but we both started eating. We ate in silence, both mad at each other.

After a little while the waiter came back with a check. Dally took it from him and put money inside and handed it back to the waiter. We then got up from the booth and started walking back to my house.
