Rebecca had laid down in her bed and had slept about three hours when a loud noise made her wide awake again. "Dobby?!" She screamed. "What are you doing here?!" Rebecca asked while almost getting a heart attack as the house elf had arrived in the middle of her bedroom. "No time Miss Black," Dobby said. He nervously moved the blanket off of her. "Need to come with Dobby," he threw out an outfit out of her drawer. "Please hurry Miss Black," he said again. Rebecca hurried to change her clothes. "Did something happen to Lucius?" She asked but the house elf didn't answer. "Go! Now!" He held onto her hand and apparated them to Malfoy Manor. They reappeared in front of the living room.
There was blood on the doorframe. Whole shelf's and chairs were laying on the floor. Rebecca looked down on the tiny house elf. What was she walking herself into? He quickly walked into the room and she followed him. She held her hand in front of her mouth as she almost threw up on the spot. There was Narcissa, at least what was still there from her, laying on the floor. Her body was almost cut into two pieces. Her lifeless eyes looked at Rebecca. So much blood everywhere. She turned away her gaze from the groosum look of her cousin. There was Lucius laying on the ground too. She led herself fall onto her knees. There was also so much blood around him. "Lucius! You need to wake up! Please!" She almost screamed as she held onto his face hoping that he could hear her. Her hands were shaking badly and she couldn't get a clear thought. "What do I do? Dobby what do I do?!" But Dobby wasn't there. "Oh god Lucius please wake up" she whispered as tears streamed down her cheeks. But from what she could see most of the blood wasn't his.
Rebecca carefully let go of Lucius head. As she snapped out of her thoughts. What was that noice? Where was it coming from? She got up. "Wingadium levioso," she pointed her wand at Lucius and let him glide onto the couch. Carefully Rebecca walked towards a walk in closet on the other side of the room. Her eyes felt like they would fall out of her skull if they could. It was a baby that had started screaming. She gently picked it up. It was only covered in a blanket. There was blood on him too but it had to be Narcissas. "Shhhhh everything is fine," Rebecca said as she tried to calm the baby down. "Your father will wake up... shhhhh darling I'm here. You're not alone.... Shhhh..."
"Give him to me!" Rebecca immediately turned around and held her wand in one hand while still holding the tiny baby in the other. "Am I speaking unclear!" He grinded trough his teeth. "If you touch him Septimus I'm going to kill you," Rebecca said angry while pointing the wand at her former fiancé. He scoffed. "Empty words as always." Rebecca's heart begun to fill up with pure hate towards Septimus. "Come on Rebecca. You should be happy. I did it for you." Septimus tried to pre-sway her. "Let me finish it. Than you can have my brother all for your own." He held up his hands like and tried to come closer. Rebecca didn't even hesitate for a moment. Her wand started to sparkle green. "Ava-" but before she could finish the spell she luckily was cut off by Aurors. They paralysed Septimus body.
Rebecca's heart pounded as the Aurors restrained Septimus. She clutched the baby tightly, her wand still pointed at her former fiancé. The room was filled with the sounds of the baby's cries and the Aurors' commands.
"Are you alright?" one of the Aurors asked, stepping closer. She nodded, though her hands were still trembling.
"Take him away," she said, her voice steady but filled with anger. "He can't be allowed to hurt anyone else."
The Aurors nodded and began to escort Septimus out of the room. Rebecca turned her attention back to Lucius, who was still unconscious on the couch. She gently placed the baby in a healers arms and knelt beside Lucius, her hands hovering over his wounds.
"Please, Lucius," she whispered, tears streaming down her face. "You have to wake up. We need you."
One of the Aurors approached her again. "We'll get him to St. Mungo's," he said. "He'll be in good hands."
Rebecca nodded, her heart heavy with worry. She watched as they carefully levitated Lucius and prepared to transport him. She picked up the baby again, holding him close as she followed the Aurors out of the manor.
At St. Mungo's, healers immediately took Lucius into a treatment room. Rebecca sat in the waiting area, the baby still in her arms. She rocked him gently, trying to soothe both him and herself.
After what felt like an eternity, a healer approached her. "He's stable," she said. "He'll need time to recover, but he's going to be alright."
Rebecca let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. "Thank you," she whispered, relief washing over her.
As she looked down at the baby in her arms, she made a silent vow. She would protect this child and ensure that nothing like this ever happened again.
For now, though, she was just grateful that Lucius was alive. She kissed the baby's forehead and whispered, "We're going to be okay. I promise."At St. Mungo's, the healers took a good look at the baby. They carefully examined him, ensuring that he was unharmed and healthy despite the traumatic events. Rebecca watched anxiously, her heart aching for the little one who had already been through so much.
"He's perfectly healthy," one of the healers finally said, smiling reassuringly at Rebecca. "Just a bit shaken up, but nothing a little love and care won't fix."
Rebecca let out a sigh of relief, her shoulders relaxing for the first time since Dobby had appeared in her bedroom. "Thank you," she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
With Lucius stabilized and the baby given a clean bill of health, they were finally allowed to go home. Rebecca carried the baby, who had fallen asleep in her arms, while the Aurors helped transport Lucius back to Malfoy Manor.
The manor was eerily quiet when they arrived. The signs of the earlier chaos had been cleaned up, but the memory of what had happened lingered in the air. Rebecca gently placed the baby in a crib in the nursery, making sure he was comfortable before turning her attention back to Lucius.
She sat by his side, holding his hand and watching over him as he slept. The healers had assured her that he would recover, but she couldn't help but worry. She had almost lost him, and the thought of that was unbearable.
As the hours passed, Lucius began to stir. His eyes fluttered open, and he looked around, disoriented. When his gaze finally settled on Rebecca, a weak smile crossed his lips.
"Rebecca," he whispered, his voice hoarse.
She squeezed his hand, tears of relief filling her eyes. "I'm here, Lucius. You're safe now."
He nodded slightly, his eyes closing again as he drifted back to sleep. Rebecca stayed by his side, her heart filled with determination. They had survived this ordeal, and she would make sure they were never in such danger again.
For now, though, she was content to simply be with her family, grateful for their safety and the chance to rebuild their lives together.
