Charter 9 ~ Getting ready for the Ball

I put away the Archery equipment and walked to my cabin to get ready for the ball. I retracted my bow back into the necklace and took it off so I could go for a shower. I waited until the bathroom was free and quickly showered and pulled on a pair of shorts and a camp Half-Blood t-shirt and out my new necklace on. I then pulled out some makeup i had and started to apply it when I remembered I had to go to the Aphrodite cabin so I put it away and walked to the cabin that was a bright pink and had a dove on the side of it. I knocked on the door and waited. It flew open and I got dragged in.i was pulled into a seat whilst two guys started to work on my hair. They quickly dried it and started to style it when (I think it was Piper.) A girl came over shooed them away and started to work on me. She pulled a strand away from the front of my hair and pinned it near the back and done the same on the other side. She then curled the rest of my hair and pulled it over my shoulders. She then got some makeup and started to put it on my face. When she was done she twirled the chair to let me look in the mirror. I looked so different. I was shocked. She pulled me to the bathroom and instructed me to put on the dress that was hanging up. I waved to Ash who was getting her hair done and walked into the bathroom. I pulls on the dress being. Careful not to rip it or anything. I walked our and everyone stopped what they were doing to look at me. I felt a little self conscious and I think they knew that so they continued working on people as Piper pulled me over to the mirror. She gave me a bracelet and some shoes to put on so I did and I looked in the mirror and I didn't recognise the woman standing there. She was beautiful. Piper gave me a mask and I looked at it in confusion.

"It's a masquerade ball. You need to wear one if these." She instructed me to sit down as she went to get ready so I sat and shut my eyes slightly nervous for what was going to happen and for what seemed like a million times today the conch shell sounded for us to go to the dining pavilion for the ball. I opened my eyes and my stomach felt like a load of butterflies took refuge in it I stood up and walked out of the Aphrodite cabin with Ash and we walked to the pavilion together. I Was slightly nervous about going with Leo but I knew that everything would be fine.
