I sighed as I remembered what happened almost seven years ago. I have to go back soon, I have to quit this job soon enough since I didn't complete my mission. I didn't find my mate after almost seven years of being a rouge. I was glad either way. I can see them again. I can finally see them again after being away from them for such a long time.
Being a warrior huh? What was Dad even thinking? Making me a warrior, with this type of body? C'mon, I'd be broken once I encounter a dominant wolf.
I was born as a beta but when a seer was invited to our pack, she confirmed me as a omega male. To say my parents were shocked was an understatement. My Pa cried himself to sleep, thinking he just ruined my life by being an omega. He didn't though. The pack loves me. Even when I came out as an omega male, they still loved me.
I am the sunshine they always called me to be. Even with three alpha brothers, they didn't belittle me by having such a low status. I was loved. But I threw that away without even thinking. How could I be so naive? Of course I couldn't find my mate. Fate works mysteriously at times. I'm sure it has something for me, now's probably not the time though.
"Dr. Gale!" I looked back as I heard someone calling me. A man around his 30's approached me with a bouquet in hand. He was panting when he finally caught up to me. "Oh hey, Erick. How are you?" Erick was one of the very first patients I had once I started working in the hospital.
"Dr. Gale, it's been a while. I've been doing better than I was before, thanks to you." He smiled widely then handed me the bouquet. "Really? That's great, Erick. Thank you for this flowers and the ones you send every month." Erick is schizophrenic and when I first encountered him, he was like someone who took a whiff and got high. After being in my care for a year, he was released since he was doing better than expected but we still have counseling at times.
"Yeah-uh, no prob. It's the least I could do for having you save me." Now he was getting awkward. "Oh, uhm, I gotta go now. Trish needs me in her office. See you soon, Erick." He turned red when I leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Oh, I'm not that kind of dumb to not realize he doesn't like me. Now I feel bad for leading him on but a wolf can have fun at times, right?
Wrong.
After I bid goodbye with Erick, I headed to Trish's office, she's the head of this hospital I work at.
"Trish, you called for me?" I asked once I was inside. I didn't sit because I felt this would be quick. And as predicted, she handed me three files. "These are our new patients. Transferred from Cambridge. Unfortunately, they can't handle these men so they shipped them all the way here." She stood up as I scrolled through the files.
"They wouldn't cooperate and are stubborn. I want reports on any information you can gather. They don't want to be separated so I'll let you decide on what to do with them. They'll be in your care and we won't interfere with what you do to them. You can do everything. In return, we need the information and even better if they get better." She looked at me and smiled gently. "Good luck, Dr. Gale." She then shooed me outside.
Everything huh? Better check them out and at least get their names. I got back to my room and grabbed some things then walked to the asylum while reading their file, which basically has nothing but their appearance and gender.
One has brunette hair, the other has blonde curly hair and the last one has natural black hair which compliments his dark brown eyes. The one with brunette hair has greyish blue eyes while the blonde one has ocean blue. Its actually fascinating to see their faces and my wolf keeps on rambling about them being handsome. I guess they are.
When I arrived at their ward, I noticed that there were no guards in this area. It was completely silent, so silent that you can even hear the echo of my shoes. Well not my problem.
I continued to walk until I saw their room. As I neared, I could feel my wolf being restless which was kind of unusual for him. I just shrugged it off because I need to get the job done first. I'll just have a chat with him later.
As I got in front of the door, I could feel my wolf now purring. Purring. I'm not a cat so what the fuck?
'Dude, seriously, shut up. Are you a cat or something?' I annoyingly asked him. The stupid fucker wasn't even listening and just kept on purring while rubbing his head against something like some damn dog wanting attention.
'Ok stop. What's wrong with you?' But he just kept on ignoring me. 'Fine.' I huffed as I pushed him deep into my mind. Seriously.
Pushing that aside, I immediately tapped the card, opening the door. And when I got in, my wolf began howling so much that it hurt my head. I was hit with tons of different scents but it wasn't as disgusting as it usually was. Then my wolf began yipping and what he said next completely froze me.
Mates. Fuck, what should I do now?
