Few warriors had gathered in the office Nick was talking on the phone, he had a scowl on his face I lay my hand on his arm he simmers down at once. The frown on his face was replaced by a smile when he gazes at me. His ocean blue eyes that made me feel relax whenever I looked into them were full of distress. I asked him what was stressing him he brushed off saying that it was because of the workload I knew that he was lying, and I won't let it slide.

"Valerie, I missed you." Zoe entered the room followed by Alex, Julian and Anna; she enveloped me into a hug she was a hugger undoubtedly.

"I missed you guys." Then why didn't you come to visit us. Ophelia misses you so much. We were planning to surprise her today she had a huge grin on her face.

"Let's commence the meeting." Alex uttered and everyone nodded their heads I pulled away from the embrace the room was packed Nick cleared his throat and began to speak.

Our pack was attacked it was not a rogue, but the person had malicious intention towards our Luna he will be transferred to the rusty cells hill. Few of our soldiers were injured apparently, he used wolfsbane but they're now out of danger. Alpha Andrew caught a man trespassing his territory he intended harm towards us but ended up in Andrew's pack they're currently interrogating him. The war is confirmed we will be leaving soon get ready. Everyone begins to mumble Julian and Alex had a confused expression on their face. Zoe leaned and whispered in my ears "why are they not attacking us and inviting us to their land that's strange" she was right there seems to be something fishy going on. I gazed at Nick who was deep in thought his eyes colour kept switching from pale blue to black.

"Nick, I know that you're concealing something." I mind link him he gazes at me debating with himself whether he should tell me or not.

"It's alright if you're not comfortable I'll not push you." he shook his head he looked at the guards.

The meeting was dismissed everyone begins to exit the room. I'll be waiting for you guys at the mansion Zoe said and smiled at me I smiled back, and she left. It was just the two of us it was dead quiet he remained static like a statue.

"Andrew found a blood-soaked note near his packhouse....it was for you." I knew she was behind this I said to myself it's time to end this for good that vicious woman needed to be taught a lesson.

"What was written on it?" I asked Nick. Andrew only mentioned about the war he and Thalia will be arriving here shortly I told them will be at the infirmary.

"Maybe Felix knows a thing or two about it." probably now let's get going he grips my hand we stepped out of the packhouse we head straight to the infirmary.

When we get there, we're greeted by nurses and doctors Nick messages Sebastian and lets him know that we are here. When we reach near the room it was empty the bed was neatly made the machines that made beeping sounds earlier, were turned off. A lady who looks to be in her mid-forties approaches us she bowed and informs us that Sebastian was busy with a surgery and the patient has been moved to room no 110 she takes us to his room. When we enter the room, a nurse was feeding Felix soup his eyes lit up when he sees me his wounds were healing at a slow pace.

"Mr Felix, now relax and stress less if you want to recover soon and go for run in the woods." the nurse said in a chirpy voice. Felix chuckles at her words she stood up from her chair grasping the empty bowl in her hands she bows her head when she sees us standing near the door and leaves the room.

"My little princess has grown up into a lovely lady." he smiles and opens his arms I go closer and hug him he pats my back before pulling apart.

"Who did this to you?" I asked him he breathes out he shifts his eyes on Nick who was standing beside me.

"This is Nick my childhood friend you used to call him prince the alpha of radiant flow pack and my mate." I introduced our mate to Felix his eyes widened he broke into a smile.

"Congratulations guys, I always knew that this boy would be perfect for you." we thanked him for his kind words. Let's get back to the point I said to him he nodded.

I was going to the luminous crescent moon pack we were interrupted when the door opened, I turned my head to look who it was. Sebastian entered the room "I came to check on the patient but y'all continue with your conversation I will wait" I thanked him and looked back at Felix he resumed on my way I got attacked by a black wolf I told him to stop talking .

"Sebastian, was he injected with silver?" No Luna, he was only given high doses of wolfsbane and tied to silver chains. Felix made a disgusted face recalling the bitter events.

I apologised for pausing him mid-sentence. He dragged me to our old pack and locked me in a cell they gave me high doses of wolfsbane and chained me. Few hours later that coward and his mate showed up I attempted to free myself, but it was useless she poked fun at my misery that coward stood alongside her with a blank expression on his face. The ruthless woman said she wants to see everyone suffer for feeling great affection for you she added that when you see your people hurt you will come rushing and plead with her and that's when she will eliminate you. I begin to plan my escape they bought few pack members and threw them in the cell they were severely beaten. I gazed at my cracked watch which was still functioning it was evening the guards dozed off I cautiously took the key out of the guard's pocket and unlatch the door. I helped the others to get out we darted in the direction of woods I told them to notify Alpha Elio. I went back to my pack and begin packing my stuff I briefly told my Alpha what had occurred. By the time I arrived here I was worn out and collapsed when I reached the packhouse.

"It makes sense now that is the reason she wants to have a war over there" he nodded Nick's phone begins ringing he stepped out to answer it.

"Why were you travelling to the luminous crescent moon pack?" I asked him inquisitively. Alpha Elio and I are good friends he told me that you visited him, he needed to discuss about a crucial matter regarding the wicked woman. Felix begins to become drowsy Sebastian begins examining him.

"It's because of the medication he feels exhausted I have checked his report it came out normal with proper rest he will be ready to go for run in couple of days." I nodded and let him rest and went out to look for Nick.

He ended the call and put his phone in his pocket "it was Dorin, he has something essential to tell us" Nick told me that Dorin had gone to meet the redhead woman he was against it. Dorin told him that he will take Nick's guards along with him he gave him consent I stared at him with bewilderment.

"Nick, that woman is a lunatic she could have hurt him." he enfolds me in his warm arms calm down my love he is safe they crossed the border and will arrive here shortly. He kissed my forehead and smiled gazing at me.

We walked in the corridors intertwining our fingers discussing about the pack while we wait for them to get here.

A little while later they appeared we were sitting outside the room "Thank Goddess you both are alright I was worried sick when Dorin told we y'all were in the infirmary." She gently stroked our cheeks and kept blabbering we didn't get to reply. The room door opened a restless looking Felix came out.

"Felix! you need to rest Nick call Sebastian." Nick stopped me from going near him and wrapped me in his arms I struggled to get out from his grasp. Valerie, he said in low- pitched voice this is a matter of heart.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on?" Dorin asked he looked at me I shook my head I was clueless. A realization dawned on me I mind link our mate "Nick are they mates?" I asked him he smiled and nodded his head.

Callie and Felix closed the gap between them the astonished amber met the longing grey eyes. Their lips begin to move, and they were about to say what every wolf wants to hear when they find their missing piece with whom they spend the rest of their lives with "Mate" they said it in a sync and Felix pulled Callie into a comforting embrace.
