It's has been two days, today was the burial ceremony of my uncle and all the warriors who lost their lives in the fight tears begin rushing down my face as they buried my uncle and the warriors. Nick was holding me in arms I continued to sob placing my head on chest .Flashes of my childhood memories when my uncle entered the room grasping my favourite snack in his hands when I was upset because my parent's had to leave me again, sitting on his wolf's back stroking his fur and helping him in the kitchen more like increasing his work but he never complained and used to laugh it off memories came flooding back .

"Babe, let's go back to the packhouse." Nick whispered in my ears I shook my head.

My uncle was never going to return "he's gone" I cried my eyes out I felt an arm around my lower back Nick lifted me and he begin walking in the direction of the packhouse. "Nick put me down" he just brushed me off it was useless to argue with him.

"Valerie, I'm sorry but Lucas and I didn't like seeing our mate shedding tears" he said in an apologetic tone placing me down when we reach the room, he shuts the door behind him I nodded my head.

"Freshen up we need to attend the meeting in an hour." I go into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror.

I didn't get enough sleep and have huge bag under my eyes my hair was ruffled the mascara that I had applied smudge under my eyes I looked at my nose it was red like a tomato. I take off the makeup and strip my A- line long sleeves black dress and turn on the shower.

"Dorin will arrive in 15 minutes." Nick said scrolling through his phone I tied my hair in a messy bun.

Dorin had gone to attend Sorinah's burial ceremony the rogues took her body with them because she was their Luna. She had a mate, but she left him and fled with a rogue Alpha she was greedy for the title. Later she realized that she made a mistake being rogues Luna made her a low – ranking wolf. She returned to get her position they refused to give it to, so she did what she does best which was taking revenge.

Meeting begins

We gathered in the packhouse office it was spacious everyone could fit in we take our seats the elders begin talking.

"We have assembled here to select our future Alpha and decide on what to do with Alpha Bastian's house." one of them uttered looking at us. I may not be a part of this pack any longer, but it was my house it has some beautiful memories attached to it I had to give my opinion on it.

"We can adjoin it with the packhouse." I can never set foot in that house it's difficult. when I and Nick entered my room earlier, I felt suffocating it made me restless, so we decided to stay at the packhouse.

"I like your suggestion there is a shortage of rooms and our pack members are growing." the elderly man gives me a gentle smile I returned It back.

"Perfect! I will sign the required documents and y'all can carry on without any issues." They nodded I'll make the papers ready before you leave the elderly man said to me.

"You're Sorinah's son which makes you the heir we never considered you mother our Luna, but you killed her to save our people we think your perfect to be our Alpha what do you think Dorin?" another man said Dorin became uneasy I give his hand a squeeze.

"M.... Me?" he stammered. Look at me Dorin "you have been the rogue Alpha it's the same" he vigorously shook his head.

"Dorin, I understand if you want you pack bac -" he cut off Andrew he was sitting besides him "N...No Andrew it's your pack I'm glad that you are their Alpha" I think he needs some time to digest considering everything that's happened the elders gave me a knowing look and nodded their head I sighed in relief.
