Goodbye

Valerie

The sun begins to vanish from the sight the moon was ready to take over we are currently training it's been hours. After coming up with a plan on how to take down our enemy Nick called Alex and told him to start training the warriors and will be leaving tomorrow at the crack of dawn.

"Luna stop daydreaming." Julian said in a booming voice I growled and glared at him.

"I apologise Luna but this is not the time to relax you need to -" I cut him off and said I already took down twenty of them including you I need a break he shook his head displaying disapproval.

"Julian, it's my turn to train with the Valerie." He nodded and left Alex sits beside me. I know your exhausted Valerie we all are, but we have a limited time to practice, and we should make the most of it.

He stretched out his arm I take it and get back on my feet I dusted the dirt off my black combat trouser. I took my fighting stance I see Alex darting in my direction I easily dodge it. Fighting high rank wolves was demanding I jumped on his back and strived to tackle him to the ground but failed he attacked my thigh with his foot I lost my balance and fell to the ground with a thud. He smirked looking down at me I clenched my first in anger and stood up I throwed punches at him he blocked them I was getting worn out but I'm not giving up.

"Damn it!" I yelled after few minutes unable to defeat him.

"I taught you were fierce." he said in a mocking voice how dare he I gritted my teeth and pinned him down to the ground.

"What were you saying? I asked him grasping his hands he surrenders I stood up and grabbed my water bottle.

"Well done, Valerie!" I heard Julian say he and Alex came near me while I was lying on the ground.

"Ready for your final opponent." Alex uttered I sat crossing my legs and give them you've got to be kidding me look.

"After this no more practice." Julian guarantees me once again I stood up and took my fighting stance, I see Nick approaching me he was shirtless he was practicing with other well-built warriors.

I got distracted by his six packs and almost got hit on my face "Focus Valerie" he said in a stern voice. I said to myself "get a grip Valerie" several minutes had passed few warriors gathered around to watch their Luna and Alpha fight. Alex and Julian were cheering for me standing on the side. To be honest I always lost with Nick but back then we were kids I have this feeling like today it's going to change. Suddenly his face was replaced with Sorinah she begins insulting me I had steam coming out of my ears the images of my people suffering flashed Infront of my eyes "I will defeat you" I shouted at the top of my voice. Nick looked at me in disbelief he was lying on the ground it was no longer her hideous face instead it was my mate who looked at me in bewilderment. I found myself on top of him I had the same expression as him.

"You did it babe I'm so proud of you." A huge grin spread on his face he pulled me into a hug, and everyone assembled applauded.

Nick's mansion

When we arrived at the mansion Ophelia beamed with joy and pulled Nick and me into a hug it was time for dinner went, we went in the dinning room she had prepared our favourite dishes. I thought to myself how did she know that we coming? I looked at Zoe, she gives me a sheepish smile never trust her with you secrets she can't keep her mouth shut. We took our seats the dinner was going smoothly until Nick, and I decided to break the news to her that we will be leaving tomorrow he gazed at me I nodded.

"Ophelia we will be leaving tomorrow" her smile quickly disappeared into a frown we give her an apologetic look.

"Why? y'all just arrived it's not fair!" she complained and folded her arms Nick and I begin to explain to her she gives us a knowing look after listening to us.

I helped Ophelia to clean up the kitchen and went to our room Nick had already started packing. I grasped appropriate clothes from my side of the closet Nick had informed Ophelia to move my stuff in his room. A few hours later we finished with packing I climbed into the bed Nick joined me he wrapped his strong and muscular arms around me I fell asleep in my mate's warm comforting embrace.

Dream

Valerie is in the middle of fight her rival has a murderous look in his eyes. She attacks him his limp body was lying on the ground she was soaked in blood her eyes shift to the vicious who was grasping a gun pointing it towards her mate who was engaged in fight.

"Nick!" she yells and runs towards him she hears gunshot and stood in front of him.

Dream  ends

I wake up and sit on the bed beads of perspiration formed on my forehead my heart was pounding rapidly Nick sits up he had an anxious expression on his face.

"I-I had a bad d-dream." I said in a quavering voice he begins soothing me.

"Everything is okay now babe." Nick reassures me After a while I loosen up and we went back to sleep.

Dorin

Yesterday was a tough day so much has happened Callie got reunited with her mate I found out that the vicious woman was my biological mother. I'm not angry at them for keeping it a secret they did it to protect me. I'm currently in my room getting ready we moved back to the place where we resided earlier. I quickly change in my black cargo pants and compression tee and put on my boots and step out of my room and grasp my backpack that was laying on the couch. Felix and Callie had come to say their goodbyes he got discharged a couple hours ago.

"Take care and call me when the plane lands." She became misty- eyed I hugged her and assured her. My beta walked in the room grasping my suitcase.

"Alpha are you sure you don't want me to accompany you." he asks me I nodded and give him a brotherly hug. Everyone had forgiven me I took a last glance of the place as if I'm not returning.

I get on the motorbike wear my helmet and gloves the plan is I will go to Nick's house and park my bike at his place, we will leave together for the airport. It took me half an hour to get here when I enter the foyer Nick and Valerie were talking to a burly man Nick introduced him to me.

"Dorin, this is Alpha of midnight claws pack" we shook hands he gives me a warm smile my wolf begins to get restless.

"Follow." Follow who Pierce? I asked him he kept repeating the same word.

"We should get moving Alpha was telling me that Sorinah has begun attacking." Nicks tells us we nodded and get in the car.

I see a girl talking with the Alpha someone was standing in front of her I couldn't get a proper look. Her eyes had two separate colours the colour closer to her pupil was brown the outer was blue it was like an island surrounded by ocean they were rare and attractive. The car begins to move she frantically looks around her my wolf whimpered. We were in a right person wrong time situation I thought to myself if she was the one I 'm certain our path will cross in the future and when I meet her, I'm never letting her go.

Nick leads us to his private jet Valerie's and my jaw dropped open when Nick told us we will travelling in his jet. It was luxurious the interior were woodwork shades of beige and light brown. Couple of hours later the plane landed. A dark blue car came to pick us up at the airport I called Callie and told her that we had landed safely.

"Ready to face the unexpected guys." Nick asked us on the way to Valerie's pack.

"It's time to put an end to it." I like the determination Dorin Nick said to me Valerie nodded she was quieter than usual.

I begin looking out of the window I thought to myself this place was beautiful it was surrounded by green hills, slighter vivid blue sky, turquoise lake, contemporary architecture and rock formations I could imagine living here. When we enter Valerie's pack border the mild atmosphere changed.
