Y/N POV

"That's great baby!" Miguel slightly yelled as he pulled me into a tight hug,I grinned when we pulled away "I'm so proud of you"

"Thank you honey,I'm gonna be living my dream-ugh if you would've saw the kitchen" I said making him softly chuckle

"You glow so beautifully when you talk about cooking,I like it" he spoke lowly,I blushed as I just smiled at him.He leaned to peck my cheek

"So I actually got something to tell you too" he says,he held my hand to my couch in the living room.We sat together;facing each other

"I told my mom about what I wanted to do.She supports me and she already got me an agent" he said as my eyes widen

"Wow..that fast?" He nodded with his pretty smile visible "well that's great for you.i can't wait to see you in a movie or a show"

"Yeah I think it's gonna be interesting but I can do it" he said

TIME SKIP

"And mama can cook for other people just like how mama cooks for you" I told Daniel while tying his shoes

"Cooking mama" Daniel laughed,I chuckled at his comment

"So papa is gonna drop you off at school okay?" I told him as I helped him put on his sweater,he frowned

"Why can't you mama?" He asked,I sighed

"My boss called me in today.She wants me to meet my coworkers and shadow the other chefs before fully putting me on shift" I explained

"I'm gonna miss you" he mumbled,I weakly smiled now feeling guilty

"I'm gonna miss you more honey but mama will come get you from school" I cupped his face

"Promise?"

"Mama promises and you know mama never breaks her baby's promises" I told him,he lightly smiled before I held his hand so we can head downstairs where Miguel was waiting

"Ready mijo?" Miguel spoke,Daniel nodded after Miguel grabbed his car keys.i crossed my arms against my chest watching them begin to walk over to the front door

"What's wrong?" Miguel whispered after leaning in,I shook my head

"Nothing,just make sure he sees you're there for a few extra minutes before leaving would you?" I told him

"Yeah,of course" he says before placing a wet kiss on my lips.He picked up Daniel from behind making Daniel let out a small squeal

I giggled as I opened the door to help them,Miguel carried him out the house.Something in me made me feel bad for not dropping off my own son at school

I hope this wouldn't be an on going thing where I barely get to see my son or Miguel,it would be awful and a big problem that can cause lack of effort for Miguel's and I's relationship.

I shut the door after seeing them drive off,I made my way upstairs to start getting ready to go to the restaurant.

I didn't go all out because it's just my work,I wore all black with just natural makeup with my hair done correctly.

TIME SKIP

I adjusted my purse that was over my shoulder while looking for my new boss,the restaurant was already open so there were customers eating or ordering by now.

"Y/n!" I heard,I turned seeing her making me lightly smile "welcome back! We're dying to get you in the kitchen already"

"I'm kinda nervous" I say,she giggled while rubbing her palms together

"Don't worry.Everyone is gonna love you and I'll damn make sure of it" she says before motioning me to follow her into the big kitchen

We walked into the chatter kitchen where there were a lot of staff like Chefs,waiters and hosts.

"Uh sorry,I didn't catch your name last time we met" I whispered to her,she nodded before reaching out her hand

"Adri.adriana" she said as I shook her hand,what a pretty name "I'll introduce you"

She guided me closer to the staff and whistled while clapping loudly to grab their attention,it worked

"Everybody! This is y/n,a new amazing chef so why don't we welcome her home?" Adri spoke

Luckily the staff had a pleasant smile and either waved or said hello,I hoped they weren't mean or intimidating though I wouldn't give care even if they thought I was competition.

"So I'm gonna have you shadow the chefs and you can see what they do.If we're having a rush,I'm gonna need you to step in cause we need all the help we can get" she says after placing her hand on my shoulder

I nodded now feeling a little pressure,she noticed me playing with my rings.She held onto my hands "you're gonna do great,I have faith in you" she whispered

I exhaled heavily before she walked out the kitchen,I observed everyone and their steps.One of the waiters kept his eyes on me

I tried to avoid eye contact but every time I'll look over his direction,his eyes knifed me.i then noticed that in the corner of my eye he began walking over to me

I bit the inside of my bottom lip of nervousness,ever since I gotten with Miguel I stopped being used to having guys come up to me.

"Hey,y/n right?" He spoke

I mean that's what Adri said out loud to everyone right? I didn't want to be a smart ass but it was true

"I think that's what Adri said" I told him while crossing my arms,he nervously chuckled

"Sorry.i just got distracted when you walked into the room" he says with a smirk,I raised a brow "it's nothing but welcome to the family and I think you'll like it here"

I shrugged "I like it so far" he slowly nodded while side smiling,it turned awkward when he just started to stare at me without saying a word

I already wanted to go home away from this guy but I can't let him drive me away from my dream so I need to ignore it

"Yo drew! They need a waiter so get going" another guy said with a glare,the guy who now I know is named drew quicly rushed out the kitchen after giving me a quick

I had a gut feeling that he was gonna be a problem with working here..

I feel like this book turned boring and I'm trying my best to not stop and just delete it so help me!
