"Ew I'm not liking your coworkers so far" Lexi says while looking through the baby clothes,I sighed as I shook my head

"Well it's just him but Adriana is really sweet" she then side eyed me "you're still my girl" I laughed making her hummed

"Good.Remember who seen you naked head to toe" she joked,I gasped before placing my finger against my lips

"We're in public!" I whispered loudly to her as she giggled "we were too close back then"

"We still are.do not play with me" she says while raising an brow,I laughed once again while leaning against her

Our laughter died down as we continued to look for more clothes for Daniel,I ended getting my last paycheck from footlocker.

I wanted to spend it on my son cause he likes dressing up nice wherever we go,I picked up a few pants,shirts and a set

"Aw that's gonna look so cute on him" Lexi says before pouring his lips,I chuckled while nodding

"Can we get him this" I heard,I turned seeing Josh and Carlos holding up basically clothes that they wear.I scoffed

"No" I spoke,Carlos's brows knitted together as Josh jaw dropped

"Why not? He'll look cool in this-

"Honey my nephew isn't a cholo" Lexi joked making me laugh

Josh and Carlos shared looks as we laughed at them "chica don't you got work?" Carlos sternly said,I sighed

"Yeah but I wanna get something for Daniel" I said while placing the clothes on my inner arm

TIME SKIP

I folded the clothes into Daniel's drawer to make them look neat,my phone begin buzzing on my dresser.i quickly picked it up without noticing the name

"Hello?" I said pressing my ear against the phone while holding up a pair of pants with two hands

"Hey beautiful" Miguel spoke,I smiled to my self "I called cause I was thinking about spending the night tonight"

"Oh yeah,that's fine babe but I have work and I'm coming home late" I told him

"Yeah that's cool,I'll take care of Daniel while you're gone and I can come pick you up after work" he says

"That sounds perfect honey.Ugh thank you so much" I exhaled out of relief

Later,I showered and gotten ready for work while hoping that Adriana would let me cook now since I was just observing the other day.

We didn't even get a rush so I couldn't help and that made me feel useless,I love being by the stove or the counter cutting something.

I wore all black once again,it was actually flattering my body and skin tone.I packed a good amount of stuff for Daniel like his toys and some snacks he loves for Miguel

I was in a rush because I wanted to get there on time,I don't like being late cause it drives me more stress than i already have.

"Mama you okay?" Daniel spoke as he was sitting on our bed watching me do so many things at once

"Yes baby I'm fine.Mama just needs to get to work okay?" I told him while zipping the little backpack he has

"Going to papa's house?" He asked with his little voice while playing with his chubby fingers,I softly chuckled.

"Yes honey,you're gonna be with papa" I said after relaxing for a while then turning to look at him,he randomly smiled at me causing me to do the same

TIME SKIP

I unbuckled my seatbelt as Miguel parked in front of the restaurant,I took a deep breath getting Miguel to notice my nerves

"Hey,don't worry you'll be great like always" Miguel spoke while placing a hand on my thigh.I glanced over with a soft smile

"Thanks babe" I told him,I turned my head to look at Daniel in the back in his car seat "you be good with papa alright?"

He nodded with his eyes widen,I chuckled before Miguel did a quick kiss on my cheek causing me to focus back on him

"I love you" he whispered,I smirked

"I love you too" I said as I leaned in to place my lips on him,I then pulled away to grab my things

"I'll pick you up after work,you're gonna rock this out" he reminded me,I said my goodbyes to my son and Miguel before hopping out the car

I walked in the restaurant seeing how packed it was,I think I'm definitely gonna cook tonight.i walked past the customers that were dining and straight into the big kitchen

I watched how chefs were naturally cooking fast and waiters coming back and forth to grab plates,I looked around and finally saw Adriana trying a chef's dish

She nodded while hovering over her mouth while she spoke,i couldn't make out what she said but i know she was giving feedback

"Adri!" I slightly raised my voice,she quickly turned her head to my direction.Her eyes lit up as she made her way over to me after dropping the fork,she finished chewing

"Hey y/n! Welcome back,as you can see we're busy so it's your time to shine and to show everyone what you got" she said with a bright smile

"Yeah I'm kinda nervous" I told her,she scoffed

"Don't have time to be nervous and I have faith in you-nick!" She called out,he tossed her an apron.She catches it smoothly before placing it against my chest

"Put this on and let's get to work" I quickly obeyed after putting my stuff down on some wood stool "I wanna see what you can do alright?"

I nodded once again "showtime" she winked,she pecked my cheek before walking away and out of the kitchen

I took a deep breath as I picked up one of the orders on the hanger,I read what a customer wanted before going to a free stove.

I turned it on and place a pot on the hot spot while trying to calm myself down that I'm really in a kitchen and I'm a chef.

I did it,I'm here in my dream at last..

Hey guys! Sorry I've been busy due to longer full 12 hour shifts (alone cause I'm like that😁)

I might post an announcement and I think you guys won't like it but it's what I want to do and I hope you guys can just respect it and support it.
