Y/N POV

once again,Daniel was asleep by the time I came home.This can't continue on and I need to be with him.I truly miss spending time with him and hearing his laughter,trying to understand him when he's telling a full story and just being with him in general.

I haven't been seeing Miguel as much and I know he's not a fan of it, but he doesn't want to say anything because he wants to be the supportive boyfriend and pushing me through to get what I want.

I sighed as I bend down on my knees,I played with Daniel's hair.I heard movement behind me which caused me to turn my head seeing Miguel having one arm on the doorway and the other in his pocket

"He's okay chula" he whispers,even if he tries to reassure me,that doesn't help with the guilt.i turned looking back at Daniel

I'm a mother before anything and anyone,I stood up and walked out the bedroom door then head downstairs.I heard Miguel follow me

I pulled out my phone from my pocket then dialed adri's number "what are you doing?" Miguel's asked as he watch me place the phone against my ear

"Hey adri" I spoke

"Hey y/n! Everything alright?" She asked,I cleared my throat

"Yeah everything is okay but I wanted to ask if it's okay I take this weekend off?" I say while praying in my head

"Oh,that's fine yeah.This isn't about Xavier though correct?" She asked

"No no,it's just..I need to be with my kid and I haven't been able to see him for this whole week and I know the restaurant never closes in the weekend"

"Hey don't worry about it,it's totally understandable and I know how it feels not being able to spend time with your kids" she says

I smiled "you can also have Monday off cause Mondays we're slow and you can be with your kid for an extra day"

I placed my hand over my chest "thank you so much Adri,you're an angel"

"Anytime,I'll see you Tuesday" she said before the line went dead,I took a deep breath.I looked back up seeing Miguel puzzled

"You just took the weekend off?" He asked,I nodded

"Yeah.i want to spend time with you and Daniel" his lips formed into a grin

"That's amazing babe" he says while walking up to me and picking me up making me giggle,this is what I needed

"We can go out to eat tomorrow or to the park?" He suggests after putting me down,I smiled before brushing my hair behind my ear

I opened my mouth to speak but he quickly spoke before I could

"Actually we can have dinner here! You can use your talent here baby" he exclaimed with excitement,I stared at him in awe

"Yeah I'll love to,honey" I spoke as he held his hand in mine

THE NEXT DAY

the sun became my clock for the day,I squint my eyes when I felt the heat creeping onto my face.i groaned before slowly turning the other way

I slightly smirked seeing Daniel in the middle and Miguel fast asleep;having his back towards us.Daniel passed out on his back

I quietly sat up before stepping out of bed,I needed a shower and to brush this weird tasting breath of mine.

ADRIANA POV

I read the last few sentences of the paperwork I had to get done before walking back out of my office and onto the dinning floor,we were packed since it's a Saturday

I then saw Xavier handing out plates,I quickly walked over to him before he was able to walk into the kitchen

"Hey Xavier.When you can,I'm gonna need you to come by my office" I told him

"Oh sure..is something wrong?" He says with a look of concern,I cleared my throat

"Just by so we can talk" I demanded before turning on my heels and going back to my office

Later,a knock was heard on my door while I slid off my blazer and onto the back of my chair.

"Come in" I exhaled,I heard the door open while I sat down.I noticed his body language,he's confused but also nervous

"You wanted to see me?" He asked,I chuckled

"Obviously" I mocked,he stood quiet while messing around with his fingers "sit" he immediately walked to the chair in-front of my desk and sat himself.

"Xavier,I'm tired of getting the same complaints because you can't stop being so unprofessional" I told him after placing my elbows on the desk

"What complaints ma'am-

"You know exactly what complaints,you keep making my girls feel uncomfortable when they don't anything with you.I'm not gonna keep tolerating this,do you understand?"

He slowly nodded "okay I'll change-

"No no no,maybe you don't understand.I'm firing you from my restaurant..and I don't want you no longer coming here even as a customer" I raised a brow

"What? How come?" He says now sitting up more straight

"I'm not gonna keep fucking repeating myself.Leave my chef alone,she isn't available and she's a mother" I told him

I'm not gonna give him another warning,I have to let him go and it doesn't affect me nor my work because I have better waiters than him.

"I just wanted to get to know her-

"Well she wants you to know that she doesn't have anything for you and you can get the fuck out of my restaurant" I demanded him

Xavier always thought he ran the waiters and thought all women want him including me at some point but I made it clear I'm not interested.

His eyes darken before he aggressively stood up and stomped out my office,he slammed my door on his way out.

I rolled my eyes as I face palmed,I couldn't have y/n or any girl in that position.
