Y/N POV

I exhaled dramatically while walking out the restaurant to see Miguel leaning against the passenger's side of his car,his eyes lit when they turned towards my direction

I softly smiled as he slightly walked closer,we stood in front of each other "how was work love?" He asked while raising a brow

I shook my head with my eyes low "aw my poor girl" he whispered as he pulled me into a hug,he caressed the back of my head while I basically can almost taste his cologne.

"I hope Daniel wasn't a bother" i muffled,he scoffed

"Of course not,we had the best time" he says as we pulled away.He slid his hands in his pockets with his pretty soft smile while his eyes sparkled

I looked at him in awe "you love being with him" I commented,he lowered his head with a laugh

"He's my pride and joy" he says,my heart melted before I wrapped my arms around his neck to quickly place my lips on his

He hummed against my lips,he then gently placed his warm hands on my upper cheeks as he pulled away "he did good at school" he says with a smirk

I just stared into his eyes "come on mama,you need some rest" he says in a low voice,he turned to pull open the passenger door

TIME SKIP

I opened the bedroom door meeting with Daniel passed out on the bed,I inhaled sharply.I couldn't spend time with Daniel today at all

"Oh honey" I whispered to myself while walking over to him,I pushed his big fluffy hair back away from his face

"He wanted to wait for you but he was too tired" Miguel whispered while leaning against the doorway,my throat tighten

I felt guilt wash over me,I didn't want to be the mother that never sees her kid or lover because of work.I know that can turn into big problems

"Maybe I should call of work tomorrow,spend sometime with him" I say while pulling the cover more up to reach his full body

"I think Daniel would really like that.I would" he muttered "but no,this has been your dream and you need to continue building it up"

He was right,I just didn't want to neglect Daniel because of my so called dream.i sighed as I turned to Miguel

"I'll take care of him don't worry,Lexi can take a break of babysitting and I get to be with my kid.You don't have to worry about a thing" he told me

"That makes me feel a bit better" I said,he chuckled while walking over to me then wrapping his arms around my waist.He pressed his lips against mine for a while

I loved his lips,I couldn't get enough of them and it's exactly what I needed after a long day at work.I pulled away

"Thanks mikey" I whispered,he flashed me a wink before biting his bottom lip.He kissed me once again making me close my eyes to the warm feeling soft touch

THE NEXT DAY

"Okay some animal crackers,your juice and some bag of goldfish" I say while zipping up Daniel's lunch bag

"Thanks mama!" He says with a grin,I exhaled quickly before attaching it to his backpack

"Remember to not share with anybody" I told him,he nodded as he gave me a thumbs up.I tell him to not share it with anybody because it's something my own mother taught me

She will tell me

"don't let anybody touch your hair"
"Don't let anybody touch your face"
"Don't share snacks with anyone"
"Don't give anyone your lunch bag just for holding"
