Chapter 10

"Stop moving, you'll get hurt"

Kai is cutting Kiernan's hair in the bathroom because it was too long. Kiernan rejected it at first but Kai insisted, so they immediately went to it as soon as he agreed.

It's only been a week since he lived in Kai's apartment, Kai goes to school in the day and immediately goes home at night.

Kiernan only stays at home, slowly reading all the books at Kai's shelf, trying to learn the ways of innovative people. Though, he has read and read, he still couldn't get rid of speaking in old terms with no apostrophes and shortcuts in his sentences.

"Why did you bring me here?"

Kai stopped cutting his hair when Kiernan started asking questions again. Kiernan also felt restless in Kai's space since he can only stay inside since he doesn't know his ways outside of Kai's apartment. He also felt isolated in his place, but in a more comfortable way.

"...I don't want you to hurt my friends, that's my only reason I'm keeping you close"

Kiernan snickered at Kai's absurd remark. Kai continued to cut his hair, but Kiernan was still not done.

"You really are a mollycoddling person, so what is your benefit protecting those hooligans while sitting here, taking care of a person who threatens you everyday?"

Kai didn't retaliate, instead, he just continued to do what he was doing. He couldn't answer his question this time, he also couldn't get mad because he knew that Kiernan was right...

"It's done, you should shower... I'll bring you some clothes"

Kai spoke in a low and soft voice, you can easily tell the depression in his tone. Kiernan noticed that and couldn't help but stare at Kai while going out of the bathroom. He sighed again in frustration and had his eyebrows knitted.

While Kai is getting some clothes for Kiernan, his phone rang at the top of the bedside table. He picked it up and said hello.

[Hey, good evening!]

It was Jett, greeting Kai as loud as he can.

"What is it? Do you need anything?"

[No.. I'm just doing a check-in-call, haha... so how are you with Kiernan?]

"Fine, I guess..."

Kai hasn't been fine since the day Kiernan stayed in his house. As usual, he couldn't sleep, but he felt so much more uncomfortable with Kiernan who would constantly stare at him in the middle of the night.

They sleep besides each other in a single bed, and once Kai starts to close his eyes, Kiernan begins to sit down on the bed and just stares at him. On one night, he would read a book, and on some he would just sit there quietly and gazes at the back of Kai.

Although, there was a time that had send shivers to Kai, when Kiernan stood in front of Kai who would usually turn his back from Kiernan whenever he slept. There, he'd sit down infront of him.

Kai had a few nightmares after that night, he felt the overwhelming gaze of his, and worse of all, Kai would always imagine his piercing blue eyes... Those caribbean colored eyes, it would shine with an intense desire or lust... And he would smile at him in a very eerie and dark way.

[Oh, by the way, I'm with Austin and Wilder now, they're inside my room... It's really annoying to deal with all their flirting]

Kai chuckled softly, he found Jett's complain  funny.... He flinched when he noticed the door opened. When he turned his head, his face flushed in bright red as he was taken aback by Kiernan who just walked in the room.

"W-what are you doing?!"

[Kai? What's wrong?]

With Kai's obvious flushed cheeks, he turned his head to the wall and covered his face as he replied back to Jett as he stutters out of embarrassment.

"I-it's nothing, it's nothing...uh.. I better go now, I'm quite busy..bye!"

Kai quickly turned off the call and sighed. He even heard Jett screaming his name before turning it off, but because of Kiernan's sudden entry, he was mortified to the point he can't look at him

The reason why Kai has been on edge since Kiernan walked in the room is because he's currently buck naked... With not even a towel to cover his crotch.

"Didn't I told you that I'll...bring... clothes... to you..?"

As Kai hesitatingly spoke in a low voice, Kiernan slowly approached him.

"You were taking too much time chattering and bantering with your so called friend"

Kai, who couldn't look at him in the eyes stayed silent as Kiernan was blatantly insulting his friends. He couldn't answer back because of the situation they're in, it was uncomfortable for him, and he doesn't know where to look.

Kiernan stood still for a moment in front of Kai, although Kai couldn't see his expression, he was frowning the whole time since the moment he walked in the room... and he's been throwing daggers at Kai since then.

Kiernan flinched when Kai suddenly cleared his throat. He then stood up that made Kiernan step back.

"Y-your clothes are on the bed, I'll be on the living room so take your time ch- changing into it..."

Kiernan watched Kai as he closed the door with his face that was still blushing and his ears that were visibly red at the back.

After closing the door, Kai slumped down infront of it as he huddled himself,he then touched his face and  felt warm.

"Aahh... I can't stop thinking about it... What's wrong with him?"

Kai, who was still red like a tomato was talking to himself, he couldn't stop imagining Kiernan who was naked infront of him. Even though he only glanced at Kiernan for a moment, he still saw everything vividly.

He jogged his memory of Kiernan, who stood tall and imposing, with his broad shoulders, his wide chest and his sculpted abdomen that was surprisingly fit like it was made from physical training, and even though his dark veins were present from Kai's vision, his porcelain skin was still  noticeable.

Yet, without realizing, he narrowed his vision between Kiernan's thighs... After that, he stopped thinking about it, while his face, ears and neck flushed in bright red yet again.

"How big was it?.... Haa, damn.. what am I thinking?"
