THE HAUNTED HEART : FULL MOON

Chapter 3

As they've planned, they walked in the night to the abandoned church with Jett and Kai in the lead, since Jett is the one who knows the way around, and Kai..... well, he's the only one who doesn't get scared.

With all their flashlights on, they continued walking and Jett was preparing for his video, considering that they were about to arrive. Austin ran towards Jett and volunteered to hold the camera. He walked in backwards as he was filming Jett.

"Okay, everyone, this is the time we've been waiting for. Today, we'll be looking inside an abandoned church, and let's try to-- ah!Austin!"

Austin bumped unto Kai infront of them who abruptly stopped, and it led to Austin letting go of the camera. Both of them panicked, because other than the lenses might break they didn't want to touch the ground, since they think something might come out of it. A little reminder, this two always starts to get too delusional when they're in scary places.

"Austin quick, get it!"

"No, you do it!, you're the owner of it!"

"You let go of it first!"

"Oh come on, that's unfair!"

Wilder just shook his head looking at them just bickering loudly in the middle of an eerie forest, in the middle of the night.

"I'm sorry"

Everyone turned their attention to Kai who hesitatingly turned his head towards  them and apologized, Austin already picked up the camera, and the three of them just realized...

"We're already here"

They immediately noticed the place behind Kai, after that, Kai turned his head towards the abandoned church.

Just by looking at it, it was more frightening than the places they've been before.

It looked really remote and disturbing , the trees were all dead, there was no life that can be seen in this place, not even grass. The soil was a bit muddy, but most importantly, the church was black in color, it looked ran down but at the same time it looked new, even the gates were black.

Even though the church was small it still had a big bell on top of it, and they just noticed it, but there were awful stenches around the place, like dead animals.

"Ugh, the smell, it's so strong, it's making me dizzy"

"Hey Jett, are you sure about this?"

Wilder asked Jett to affirm him if they were going to continue this. Before they could even went inside they already sensed the ominous  feelings of the place.

The whole existence of the church scream danger, and they all knew it. Jett took a deep breath, he took the camera from Austin and nodded. He made a decision that they will continue for their video.

"Since you insist..."

"You go first"

"Oh come on you guys, why not just Kai?!"

"You want Kai to go first?, I can't let our last hope to die first!"

"Oh, so you want me to die? Wilder you're such a.... a-a snake!"

"What?! Why you.."

"Hey, hey, hey, stop it!"

Kai just stood still in front of the church, indifferent to their constant yelling, he didn't know what he was feeling, staring at it. He was curious to what was stirring up inside of him. He felt exhilarated to the point he unconsciously walked towards the gate.

His friends stopped bickering, and immediately averted their attention to Kai who was just about to open the gate. Jett who was fast as speed filmed him, and followed Kai instantly.

"Kai?"

Austin and Wilder went after Jett and Kai. As Kai busted the gate open, his right foot stepped in, and a sudden gust of wind past his face, chills went down his spines. It became heavier and heavier for him to move and breath.

"Haa...Haa.. Haa.. Haa"

"YOU WILL BE THE GATE BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL"

"Haah... Haaah.... Haah! Haah!"

"KAI!"   "KAI!"   "KAI!"

It was like all of his nightmares came to him together and left him breathless, repeating his name without any hint of stopping. Kai,who initiated to open the gate, regretted every last of his decisions. His vision blurred, his head was aching with all the noise inside his mind, he became dizzy with all the emotions swirling inside of him.

Suddenly, a hand tapped on Kai's shoulder, Kai was startled, but it lead him back to reality. He turned his head towards the person, it was Wilder, with his worried looks. His breathing became stable  as he exhaled and calmed his self.

"Are you okay? You look pale"

"... I'm.. fine"

They continued to walk towards the church. Wilder and Kai was confused when Austin and Jett was standing motionless in the church. They immediately rush towards them.

They were horrified with what they've witnessed, there were countable pew chairs, no lights to switch, dusty atmosphere, a eucharistic ambo at the front, and the thing that disturbed them the most were the blanket-wrapped things that looked like corpse... sitting on the chairs.

They hoped that it was all just fake, but the other one that made them very horrid was the one infront of the ambo hanging on top of it with a noose.

Wilder found it disquieting, it was the most horrible thing he has ever seen, while Jett and Austin were disgusted and found it very disturbing, their whole body was shaking, Jett couldn't even hold his camera straight.

Kai ,who stood still with his eyes wide open, was distracted by the voices and cries he kept on hearing. It was loud, and a screeching sound was hurting his ears and head, as his vision blurred again, his ears rang. He groaned as he was in pain with all the noises.

In his blurred eyes, he catched a glimpse of someone besides the hanging  corpse, in a dark cloak.

Wilder knew right away that it was dangerous and they had to get out of there as soon as possible. He immediately grabbed Austin and Jett. They were out of the church, but he was shocked when Kai was still in there.

"KAI!!"

"GET OUT OF THERE!...KAI!!"

It was too late for Kai to react, as he was about to run towards the door, it instantly shut.

"Wilder!..."

"KAI!!!!"
