Yuxin's POV

I sat upright, my eyes slightly blurry as my ears started to pick up the noise going around. The last I remember was falling asleep next to Y/N. I rubbed my eyes as I looked beside me, expecting to see her there, but I only grew confused when I didn't. How long was I out for, anyway?

I looked around the room. Everything is the same as before I fell asleep. Everyone was still here, except for Y/N. With a small groan, I started to pull myself up to walk towards the others.

"Look who's finally awake," Xueer commented as they all turned to me.

"Where's-"

"Y/N's just in the bathroom."

I turned to the side and saw a girl standing there next to Lin Fan and Keran. It took another second and a squint of the eyes before I finally recognized who it was.

"Yiwen? When did you get here?" I said as she walked over to give me a brief hug.

"Just now, actually," she answered with a small laugh. "Y/N's actually the first to see me since I ran into her in the hallway."

I nodded in understanding. At least now I know where Y/N is. With that in mind, I took a seat back on the floor next to Xiai. I was half listening in on the conversations as I waited for my drowsiness to fully disappear and my mind to clear up.

"You guys should have seen the banners and fans outside. It's insane!"

"Xiai and I saw it yesterday. I think there were even vans and buses."

"Yeah, it started to feel real then!"

A couple more minutes and conversations passed and I was slowly getting the energy to join in with them. Y/N was still nowhere to be found. What could she be doing in the bathroom that's taking her so long? I tried to push the thoughts to the back of my mind but something started to not feel right at all.

As minutes passed and she still didn't show up, I finally decided to stand up.

"Hey, where are you going?" Keran asked out.

"I'm just gonna look for Y/N," I answered and as her brows furrowed, I spoke again. "I don't have a good feeling about this."

Probably noticing my serious expression, she chose not to say anything and just nodded before also standing up. Before I knew it, all of them were standing up and a search team of some sort had been formed to look for Y/N. Honestly, it's all a bit too dramatic but I chose not to waste any more time by arguing with them.

Like they said, the first place I checked was the bathroom. But no one was there. And I tried not to, but I was slowly growing nervous. Where could she be? Before I knew it, my brain was already filled with hundreds of different thoughts all at once and I was soon in a panic as I jjogged back out where the others were.

"Anything?" I asked out as we stood in the hallway.

"She's not by the vending machines," Shuxin answered and shook her head.

"We already searched the whole floor," Keran added, making me sigh and gnaw at my lip.

"Hye, don't worry. maybe she went up to the dorms," Anqi comforted but it did nothing to ease out the hollow feeling that has formed in the pit of my stomach.

"no, something's wrong... I can feel it," I mumbled as I looked around, my hand running through my hair.

"Come on, let's ask around," Lin Fan suggested before pointing to the end of the hallway where a staff was. "Jie!" she called out and started running over, making all of us follow her.
