LOVE, HATE AND DESIRE.

CHAPTER 21

Two days passed and nathan refused to return home, selena blamed herself for pushing him, she should have known better than irritate him right.
Many thoughts went through her mind like; 'What if he hated her family for another reason, what if he was actually human and she's getting worried over nothing, and why did she care if he was human or not.'

"Maybe i should get to know more about these vam...." she paused when heard heavy footsteps ascending the staircase. She wanted to go meet him, but she was afraid she would irritate him again. The steps stopped right in front of her room, it lingered for a while before moving away. She heard his room door opening and closing immediately. Selena sighed, then took her laptop and began to search for clues to help her understand, even though they weren't so clear.

At exactly 6 pm, selena's phone rang, waking her up from her slumber, she fell asleep after studying some articles for two hours. She picked up;

"Sofie? How are you?"

"I'm fine, you don't sound...."

"I'm okay, what's going on?"

"I missed you, can we hang out tonight?"

"Of course, i need a drink or two." Selena said and they both laughed.

"I'll pick you up at 7."

"Yeah, i better get ready then."

After she hung up, she rushed into the bathroom and rushed out after a few minutes, she got dressed up and began to apply her makeup. She was going to have fun and not allow anything else bother her.
Sofie pulled up in front of the villa, Selena was already waiting for her, she got in and they drove off.

"You still haven't told me what you've been doing all these years." 

Sofie chuckled, "Trust me, you wouldn't believe it if i told you."

"Try me."

Sofie looked at selena carefully, her trip to greece wasn't so pleasant, she encountered a lot of things that changed her life. How was she going to explain it to her friend? Where was she going to begin from?

"I'm waiting." Selena said

"Can we just talk about something else tonight, i promise i'll tell you some other time okay. Let's just have fun tonight."

They arrived at the club and the ladies walked in, with sofie swinging her hips and waving at some people she was familiar with. They got to the bar and ordered for drinks;

"A round of tequila shots please!" Sofie half yelled. Looking around, selena found some people in the club a bit strange, but she didn't think too much of it. Their shots arrived and the ladies drank their worries away, dancing and laughing.
Sofie seemed to know a lot of people and selena wondered how, sofie only just came back few weeks ago, she had been in seattle for years and still doesn't know these much. Then suddenly, selena stopped dancing when she saw someone she never expected to see here;

"Nicholas!" She moved quickly to the corner which he sat with a familiar face. "Henry? What are you both doing here?"

"Lena, you're here. Henry decided to take me out, said i needed to make friends."

Selena looked at henry, then back at nicholas. "You both have been talking?"

"Yes."

Selena couldn't understand anything, was halfway drunk and the loud music affected her ears. "Can i talk to you henry. Sofie! Please look after nico for me okay."

"Come on lena, i'm no kid." Nico whined.

Both selena and henry stepped out of the club. "How?"

"He called me first the day your mother died and you disappeared from the hospital, and then i had to inform him when i found you."

"He must have called nathan too?"

"I guess."

"Does he know, about...."

"No, as far as he's concerned, nathan treats you well." Henry said and looked away.

Selena scoffed, "Right, you can't even...." she paused and then sighed. "Well, i came out here to have fun, i guess even nico needs that as well. Please keep him safe. You're his only friend."

"You would trust me with him?" Henry asked, his brows furrowed.

Selena shrugged her right shoulder, "Maybe just for tonight." She winked and walked back in.

Henry chuckled, he had never seen her playful side before and he could bet neither has his brother.

'This female is gon be a wild one'
He thought to himself.
"Nate is missing out, i would have turned her the moment..... Shit! Get your act together man."

The party continued till 11pm, henry never took his eyes off selena and her friend who for some weird reasons kept glancing at nicholas, the young man returned every look with an appealing smile. This exchange never missed henry's gaze of course, he decided he's had enough liquor and caressing from the girls.
"Hey buddy, time to go." He said to nicholas

"Not yet, the fun is just about to begin."

"Really, that you can hold your liquor doesn't mean you can handle the wild night threatening the atmosphere."

"What do you mean?" Nicholas asked, now he tore his gaze away from sofie.

"Let's go champ, there will be other nights." Henry said and turned to call for selena and her friend, but he only found sofie dancing with a stranger.
"Shit! Where's your sister?"

Nicholas widened his eyes like he couldn't see properly, "She was just there with sofie..."

Henry approached sofie, her eyes were red and her fangs were out, she was ready to feed. Now he knew why he found something off about her;
"You're a newbie."

"I...i haven't touched him yet, Please...."

"Where is selena?"

Immediately he mentioned her friend's name, she returned to normal. Henry admired her genuine care for selena, it wasn't easy for a newbie to have control over themselves when they're hungry.
"She stepped out to get some air with her assistant, um...du..duke, Duke Allen."

"Stay with nicholas. And...don't feed on him." Henry said and when sofie nodded, he quickly went outside to look for selena.
