PERCY- CHAPTER FOUR

It's night right now, and we should be going to sleep. But when you go through two wars, Hell, and four quests, sleep isn't really something that happens. So me and Annabeth decided to sneak out. We creep into the hallway. It would suck if we got busted- We're wearing jeans and hoodies, holding our skateboards. There is no possible excuse to explain our way out of this. But it sounds like mum, Estelle, and Paul are asleep, so we climb down the fire escape.

The only way out of the building is an elevator. It isn't broken, but me and Annabeth refuse to use it. So taking the fire escape from the eighth floor is our only other option.

As we finish descending the stairs, I hop on my board, and me and Annabeth propel ourselves down the concrete paths, doing some cool flips and tricks while we're at it.

It may seem surprising, but Annabeth was the one who taught me most of how to skateboard. After the Titan war, while I taught her to surf, she taught me how to skate, and that progressed into tricks and flipping.

We go to the local skate park, and do some stuff there, just for the sake of it. We just casually talk, poking fun at each others falls and trying new combinations. It feels good- being normal teenagers sneaking out and skateboarding around the city. Not being worried about the next war, or if we would survive the next hour, is a welcome feeling. I put the Greek world out of my mind and enjoy the night with Annabeth.

Then we just skate around. We get lost, and take random subway lines, until Annabeth checks her phone and realises it is almost midnight and we have to get back.

We climb the steps up the fire escape, and creep back to our room. We get back in our pjamas, and get into bed.

LEO

Its been a week since I've arrived in Indiana and have been staying at the Waystation. Everyone seems to be doing great, which I'm happy about. I had a small fear Jason, Piper, Annabeth or Percy might end up being bullied, or that something would happen to Frank and Hazel, but so far everyone has made friends. I'm glad. Even if they're just mortals, I've been bullied before and it isn't fun. So I'm glad my friends don't have to go through that.

(Remember: All Leo knows is what has been said in the chat, which are lies. So he doesn't know about Jason and Piper!!)

I talk to a guy called Darren. He's sorta like me- awkward socially, a science nerd, but actually cool. I met him in STEM club and we have a few lessons together.

Calypso decided to change her name to fit in more, so the people at school know her by 'Cassie', short for 'Cassandra'. I call her Cal. Cal has her own friends, too. I don't like them much, they change personality so much and seem kind of manipulative. But that doesn't matter- she likes them, so I go along with it.

Our cover story is that we are a long-distance internet couple who didn't know about the fact we are going to the same school. So far it has worked.

Cal joined the band too. She plays flute and has been accepted to go on band in about a month, which is exiting. And between STEM club, new demigods coming and going, and chopping carrots, this week has been fairly busy. I message the chat a lot. Since everyone is busy, I don't always get replies, but we all come online and talk about our weeks at exactly 4:00 PM on Wednesday. Sometimes the conversation only goes for half an hour, but either way, we're all staying in contact with each other.

So anyway, that's my week.

PIPER

I'm beginning to reconsider why I thought finishing highschool was a good idea.

The mean comments haven't stopped. We've tried emailing and talking to teachers and the Head of Year, ignoring the comments, and standing up for ourselves, but the hate just won't stop. It's gotten to the point where we just hang out at the back of the toilets at lunch to avoid everyone.

It's not just name calling either. People trip us in the halls and send us nasty emails.

I'm not scared of them, and neither me or Jason will let them win. But it's hard to wake up and go to school when you know that people will constantly tease you relentlessly.

The teachers pass it off as 'jokes' and that 'they're just teasing and having fun'. But they don't see that hate that laces their words.

I don't know what we can do.

Everyone else seems to be doing well though- Frank and Hazel are doing amazing things as Praetors, Percy and Annabeth are doing well, and Leo has friends too. So at least we know that everyone else is happy.

Me and Jason are getting revenge in our own ways- I may have charmspeaked Lilly into kissing a locker. Jason controls the wind to move the ball in soccer, and makes their team lose.

I know the bullying wont stop. But maybe we could do something.

PERCY

It's been a week since we started school. Other than our panic attacks and nightmares, life is really good at the moment.

No gods have appeared on our doorstep to say we need to do a quest again, and my grades are topping, especially now that Annabeth is helping. I got an 80 in a math test yesterday, which is really good, considering that I never have achieved above a 50.

At least one of us has a panic attack daily. We've gotten pretty good at anticipating when they will come and then signalling to the other. The nightmares suck, so most nights we stay up late binging whatever is new on Netflix or skateboarding. It isn't ideal, but at least we have some control over it.

Everyone else seems good too- we told the chat about the people we talk to; Leo has a friend called Darren. Jason and Pipes seem okay too. Frank and Hazel are working well with Reyna.

We IMd some of our camp friends yesterday- Malcom is doing great as Head Counsellor, Nico and Will have a great relationship. Frank, Hazel, Reyna, and Chiron are working to build an exchange program between the camps.

Estelle is an amazing sister. I can't wait to see what to future holds.

HAZEL

Being Praetor is actually kind of cool- I still wish we were in the mortal world, but being Praetor is nice. We do extra things, and I like knowing that I'm actually making changes to the legion. So maybe this is a reality I could get used to. I can't wait until the holidays, when all of us will meet up at CHB.

Reyna is a good leader too. I think I would have made about 50 mistakes on my first day if it weren't for her- and her authority. The way she knew not to attack the Greeks during the war has served her well.

Me and Frank also are sort of role models for the younger kids, which is cool.

Overall, everything is going way better than I expected.
