11: Demigod Sleepovers and Plans for the Future

PERCY

Although Frank, Reyna, and Hazel have been reinstated as Praetors, there is still the issue of Leo threatening to tell the chat about our panic attacks.

It was Friday afternoon when he put the final deal on the table. We were at the train station. Me and Annabeth were waiting for the 3:30 train to take us to Light City Station, and Leo was taking a train just after ours. Me and Annabeth were standing together, when Leo comes up to us in all his short elf-ish glory.

''Hey...so, I'm putting the final deal down. If you guys haven't told the chat by 8:00 PM tonight, then I will. I'll send the screenshots and videos I have, and you both can explain them. Or you can tell the chat yourselves''

I look him in the eye. ''Leo, if you're a good friend, then you'll keep quiet, okay? Please, just give us some time and we can sort things out''

Leo doesn't get time to answer, because our train then comes. We board, and stare through the window as the son of Hephaestus stares back.

Finally, we arrive at Light City Station and then walk to our apartment.

I remember when we first started at school, we couldn't figure out if Light City or Southern Rock Avenue was closer, so we did a competition- Annabeth continued to Southern Rock Avenue, and I got off at Light City. Light City was closer by two minutes.

Honestly though, the walk seems to take forever. We finally get home, and collapse on the bed.

''Okay, but is Leo actually serious? What he said has been bothering me. Do you think he would?'' Annabeth rapid-fire questions me, eventually slipping into Greek.

''Okay calm down Wise Girl! Take a breath!'' I tell her.

Annabeth nods, still looking worried. I check the time: 4:30.

''Maybe we could message Leo, ask him to meet up and talk to him?'' I ask. Annabeth nods.

''I'll do it. What should I say?''

Percy: Hi Leo

Leo: hi.

Percy: Are you actually going to tell the chat?

Leo: mhm

Percy: Can we meet up at 5:30 somewhere??

Leo: If you guys are just going to try and bargain with me, no.

Percy: We aren't, we just literally need to talk to you

Leo: About what then???

Percy: Annabeth here. Boyfriend was being an idiot.

Leo: Hi.

Percy: We want to see if there is another solution before the chat gets involved and everything gets messy.

Leo: Like what?? If it's related to the chat, it's just going to end in us arguing again!!

Percy: Fine. We might tell the chat before 8, but we just don't know what to say. And we need help, I guess.

Leo: Is that a lie?

Percy: No.

Leo: Fine. Meet me at Crest Square at 5:45.

PERCY

Annabeth gives me my phone back, and I roll my eyes. Annabeth smiles at me, and goes into the kitchen. I follow her as she tosses me a container of pasta. ''Eat quickly. We need to meet Leo at Crest Square.''

It took three line changes, but we finally made it as we raced to meet Leo. He was sitting at a park bench, so we sat together with him.

Annabeth shakes her head at the short elf.
