Melantha

I'm awoken by a loud bang and I sit up feeling dizzy and dazed. What happened?

"I'm not going to ask again, do it"

I feel shocked as I hear a low and deadly voice of Murphy. I drag myself to the ladder leaning over the edge.

"Get on the box Bellamy" Box? Maybe I should go down. "You don't want to do this Murphy" "Yes I do, do it or I'll kill your grounder pounding sister"

A sound of struggle is heard and I quickly climb down my mouth dropping at the scene in front of me.

"Muph! What are you doing?" I yell as Bellamy is hung on the ceiling standing on his tiptoes, the only thing keeping him alive. His head snaps to mine and I see a hint of regret but it's quickly gone.

"Go away Lana, I don't want to hurt you" He's changed. Revenge is eating him up.

In one movement I reach a table and grab a gun and point it at him. Both guns at each other.

"Let. Him. Down" I say gritting my teeth. "Can't do that, come on Lana we are friends walk away" I cock the gun. "I thought we were friends. You've proven otherwise"

The betrayal I feel is too much. I hate it. I trusted him.

"Put the gun down Lana" He starts pressing down on the trigger. "Are you going to kill me?" I ask and lower the gun holding my hands out and walking closer as his eyes widen.

"Then do it. Shoot me Murphy, you obviously never cared ""Amy" Bellamy's horse voice calls out but I ignore him walking until the gun is on my forehead.

"Shoot me"

He shot. But not me. A yelp is heard and Murphy looks to the floor and starts firing. I jump back covering my ears. Murphy then walks over kicking the box under Bellamy.

I let out a scream jumping to reach him as Murphy grabbed my arm hard.

"Your choice, go after me or save him" Gee I wonder which one I'm going to choose.

I jump on the box and grab my knife quickly, cutting him down.

"George, George are you ok?" I ask helping taking off the belts around his neck. He doesn't respond but jumps up and climbs the ladder where Murphy escaped.

"Murphy! There's no escape! Open up!" He screams, his voice extremely scratchy. Kind of attractive.

Not the time Melantha.

Murphy doesn't open up but a huge explosion is heard and Bellamy gets the hatch open and I follow him as we walk to a hole in the ship seeing Murphy running away. He glances over his shoulder and stares at me for a moment. I simply shake my head.

"Should we go after him?" Someone asks. "No, let the grounders deal with him" Bellamy says and my stomach drops.

He's going to die.

They are going to kill him.

I shouldn't care he betrayed me.

The problem is I will always care.

"Stop moving" I snapped, getting annoyed with all of Bellamy's movements.

"This is stupid I sho-" I put a hand over his mouth.

"No talking, it's going to heal but not if you don't stop talking" He rolls his eyes and I run a rag over his neck with red marks covering his skin.

"I'm sorry" He says and I glare. "You weren't supposed to be there," He continued. "I didn't get hurt," I assured him.

"Not physically, Murphy is your friend" "Was, he was my friend" I stood up brushing off my pants and clenching my teeth.

"Was my friend"

"You still have me?" He says awkwardly putting his hands in his pockets.

"I got to go do something " I say and go to walk off and he grabs my arm stopping me.

"I'm serious, you have me Amy. Whenever you need me I'll be there"

I nod not knowing what else to do. "I need to talk to Finn '' I mutter and by the look on his face I stop.

"What?" "Finn, Clarke, and Monty went missing yesterday, were going to send out a search party soon" "You are?" Jasper says appearing out of nowhere.

Bellamy nods. "As soon as we get prepared for an attack" Jasper gives him a nod and walks off.

"How are you feeling?" he asks and I look over, shooting him a fierce look to shut up. "You passed out from exhaustion" He explains. "I'm fine" "Tired?" "No"

He sighs running a hand through his hair. "The day you trust me is the day I die" "Guess you'll live forever" I wink and walk out of the dropship to immediately see the gates open and Finn and Clarke walk through.

They're ok. They're ok.

"They're back!" Someone yells. "Where have you been?" I ask and Clarke shakes her head. "No time, we need to leave the grounders are coming"

"We prepared for this" Bellamy says. "If we stay we die! Pack your things!" She yells and walks off. "No explanation or anything?" I mumble and Bellamy frowns. "If we leave we could die out there" He says, crossing his arms.

"I agree"

After packing up and putting Raven on a stretcher because we found out Murphy shot her, we head out and start walking. I stay in the middle with Jasper keeping him company since Monty's gone.

"We will find him" I try to comfort him a little. "Yeah" He mumbles. Seconds later screams are heard and kids start running the opposite way hitting me and Jasper.

I grab Bellamy's arm. "What happened?" "There here" He says and that's enough to get me running. We make it back to camp and I run to go get into position when Bellamy stops me.

"What?" I ask and he opens his mouth and words seem to leave him. "I'll be fine, worry about yourself George" I pat his chest and run off.

I go to the south foxhole with Jasper and Harper getting my gun propped up. "Be brave, we can do this" I say to the two and they nod with fear in their eyes.

Thankfully the south part was partially mined.

Thanks Murphy.

When the grounders start coming we don't have to shoot.

"They are trying to get us to waste ammo, don't shoot when they are running diagonal" Bellamy's voice comes through and I nod knowing he can't see me.

I shoot men.

Men who probably had family and friends.

I was supposed to heal people, not kill them. I swallow hard and I keep shooting.

"Jasper we need you at the ship" Clarke says and he glances at me. "No, we need the south covered," Bellay argues.

"Melantha and Harper are there, it's fine" I nod at Jasper and he stands up running towards the dropship.

"Just you and me Harp '' I mumble and she lets out a shaky breath.

"Everyone get back to the dropship!" Clarke yells on the radio and I stay in my position. "I'll catch up, go" I tell Harper and she gets up and runs.

Shot after shot before I decide I should go. I turn and see Clarke close the dropship.

The hell? "No time" I mutter and look to the south foxhole and jump through climbing as fast as I can when fire grazes my back and I'm sent flying out.

Darkness.
