Chapter 30

"That's it, I'm going" Octavia says standing up.

"Wait, O" I try to stop her as she walks out. Melantha simply shakes her head not getting up. I follow Octavia anyway. "You can't go" "Want a bet?" She tilts her head glaring at me. Damn, she and Melantha are too much alike.

"O plea.." We are cut off by a sound coming. "Is that a rover?" Octavia asks. I lift my gun up and she pulls out her sword. "Who is it?" Melantha asks as the rest of them run out with guns raised.

"Don't know yet" I respond and it comes to a stop and Clarke and Jasper jump out. "Of course" Cassie groans and Clarke runs over.

"It's Raven, we have to get her inside" She says and we run to the back where she's passed out. "What happened?" I ask. "She took Jaha's stupid pill"

"Pill?" Melantha questions. "You really don't pay attention do you?" I joke and she simply gives me a blank face in return. Too soon. We bring Raven inside and go to tie her up when she suddenly jumps up and starts running out of the cave.

"Shit" We chase her outside as she starts screaming and looking around. "I can't see anything! It's all trees" She yells. Must be talking to Allie.

Creepy.

Jasper shoves the last reaper stick in her neck. Melantha seems frozen. It's just a reaper stick? "We have to bring her somewhere else, where she can't escape," Octavia says.

"I know a place," Clarke says.

"What is this place?" I ask as she pulls into a store looking place. "A friend" She mutters and we climb out as Monty helps me carry Raven inside.

"Niylah, We need somewhere to lay low, I'm sorry" Clarke says and she glances at me hard for a minute. She must know I was there. We tie her up just as she starts waking up.

"LET ME GO!" She screams and starts banging her head against her wall. She's trying to kill herself. Melantha jumps forward and puts a pillow in between the wall and her head.

"Is there anything here I can use to clean her wounds?" Melantha asks though I don't know what she said. Niylah nods and walks off.

"Take shifts, some should watch outside, I'll stay here and clean her wrists. If we need to get this thing out of her head, how do we do that?" She asks and Clarke walks over.

"A large enough battery might work" "Where would we find that?" "The dropship" Monty and Sinclar say. "I'll go," Monty says. "I'll come with" Octavia mumbles and Melantha runs forward grabbing her arm.

"You aren't leaving right?" Octavia doesn't answer, just pulls her arm from her grasp. Melantha's face falls and she clenches her fist turning back to Raven. "The rest of you can go outside" She complains and I gesture for the others to go into the other room.

"You too" She glances at me. "You'll need help if something happens" she works on Raven's wrists and I watch.

"So what will happen now? We will find you" Raven says and I lean forward with my elbows on my knees. "We get you out of Raven's head and then she will know what to do" I say and Raven or Allie laughs.

"Nice try. Your mother is with us, Melantha" Raven says and Melantha shrugs. "Good for you" "I could kill her" Melantha snorts and moves to work on her right wrist.

"Knock yourself out" it's quiet for a moment and Raven speaks up again. "Remember February 3rd?" Melantha tenses but continues working.

"You do, that's good. Has she ever told you about that day Bellamy?" "Shut up" Cassie mumbles. "Or wh.." Melantha grabs a gag, stuffing it in her mouth. "Or that ''

Melantha sits across the room and takes off the bandage around the back of her head and bites her lip as it is covered in blood. "Amy.." "I'm fine" She says and grabs some alcohol dabbing it on a rag and her hands shakes as she reaches up. I stand up and grab it from her hand.

"You can hate me, but you know you need help" I say and she doesn't move. I carefully press it down and she hisses her hand gripping my arm. "Sorry" I wait until she swallows hard and nods before pressing it down again.

"What happened?" "Thrown on a rock" She groans and leans her head forward. After I finish wrapping it I move to the huge cut on her forehead. "This one?" I whisper seeing Raven eye us.

"Tree" "Didn't know trees could fight" I joke and she looks up leaning away from me.

"What are you doing?" She asks and I swallow hard. "I just want to fix things, everything I did was to protect you"

"That's a bunch of shit and you know it, the person you followed k-" She stops her breath shaking.

"He wasn't supposed to get hurt," I say. "It's too late for that '' She stands up and walks out leaving me alone with Raven. I run a hand through my hair. I need her.
