As Leon set the table, he was half-surprised that Luca still hadn't awoken to the smell of dinner. He hadn't eaten for a few hours: there was no way his stomach wasn't empty by now.

A small sigh left his lips, gradually stepping upstairs. He pushed open the door to Luca's bedroom, swiftly approaching the bed where his boyfriend lay peacefully.

"Luca," he called, sitting beside him on the bed. He couldn't help the way his lips curved when he noticed how Luca's cheek was squished into the pillow. Gently, he shook his arm, though, soon it was irresistible to hold his face. "I made dinner. Come on."

Luca hummed a little, reaching up, as if attempting to figure out what exactly was on his cheek. Though, when he realised, it was clear that his whole body had relaxed, a cute smile spreading across his lips.

"Hey..." Leon chuckled, caressing his cheek with his thumb. "You gotta wake up. The food's gonna get cold."

"Mm... no you're warm," Luca murmured sleepily, shuffling.

With an exhale, Leon shook his head. He really didn't understand how he could possibly be this tired for the entire day.

"Thanks. Come on now. You're not gonna make me eat alone, are you?"

"Why..? We can eat together..." Luca mumbled. His eyes were still closed. "I'm hungry..."

Leon laughed softly. "Let's go eat then, stupid."

Luca heaved a breath from his nose. His hand closed around Leon's soft one that held his face. He was still much too sleepy to figure out what was going on.

"Leon..." he grumbled unexpectedly.

Leon tilted his head. "Yeah?"

"I love you, you know... You never tell me you love me."

Leon's eyebrows raised.

His gaze fell. And then, before he even knew it, blood had rushed straight through his cheeks.

"Oh..."

Leon looked away.

Unbeknownst to him, Luca's eyes had finally opened. He blinked, noticing the way that even his ears were red, and that he was suddenly at loss for words.

"I do... uhm..." Leon cleared his throat, his eyes narrowing.

Though, his shoulders abruptly jumped when Luca sat up. Leon's head snapped back towards him.

"Y-you're awake..." he mumbled. "Uhm- uh. How's your hangover?"

"Better now," Luca answered, rubbing his eyes. "Where is everyone..?"

"Diluc's birthday party, remember? You've been asleep all day," Leon reminded him.

Luca stared at the bedsheets beneath them. "Lucien... and (Y/N)?"

"Yep."

Leon's blush remained when Luca smiled, leaning into him.

"So... we're home alone..?" he questioned, with that sly curve of his lips.

Luca's pupils became fixed onto Leon's ocean blue irises. He noticed how they shook as Luca came close, yet Leon did not make even a single movement to oppose it.

"Y-Yeah... I guess so," Leon replied quietly. "I-I made dinner..."

Leon's breathing began to quicken as Luca only came closer. Their noses touched, and Luca could immediately tell how warm Leon's face was.

"Thank you," Luca spoke simply.

Leon's eyelashes fluttered.

And then, without any hesitation, their lips met.
