The next day had come too quick. Soon enough, Kaeya was in the winery, chatting casually with Elzer.

Kaeya was pleasantly surprised that (Y/N) hadn't decided to take leave like he suggested. Though, she was definitely avoiding him like the plague right now.

Perhaps he was a little too harsh on her yesterday...

Kaeya couldn't help but let his gaze follow her when he was supposed to be listening to whatever Elzer was saying. She was currently setting the table while talking to another maid. Well, it looked more like the maid was talking to her, and she wasn't really paying much mind to it.

"You didn't have to be so mean. She was just asking you a question. It's really rude when you ignore us like this. We're supposed to be colleagues, but you don't even bother to talk to us at all. At least show an example to the younger ones."

(Y/N)'s shoulders shook, attempting to hold back a laugh. "Like you guys did a great job at that when I was younger," she muttered beneath her breath.

"Huh?" The maid scoffed. "You really do have an attitude. No respect for anyone."

Kaeya's eye narrowed. Elzer blinked, turning to see what he was looking at.

(Y/N) shot a glare at the maid. The maid stood back, putting her hands up. "Oh, don't go and punch me too now. We don't need to see your aggressive side here."

"Let's continue this conversation later, Elzer," Kaeya murmured. Elzer slowly nodded. Kaeya began to approach the two maids.

"Can't you just leave me alone?" (Y/N) asked, her voice shaking. "Stop bothering me..!"

All of a sudden, (Y/N) jolted. A gentle hand held her shoulder. The maid before her swallowed.

"What's going on here?" Kaeya enquired, his eyebrows furrowed.

(Y/N) stepped back. She shoved Kaeya's hand off her, her breath heaving. "Stay away from me!!" (Y/N) cried out.

"(Y-Y/N)-?" Kaeya's pupil shook. Before he knew it, (Y/N) had run off, the maid that provoked her slowly sneaking away while he was distracted.

Kaeya's fist clenched. It looked like (Y/N) went into the basement but... was it a good idea to follow her..? She clearly really didn't want to see him right now...

It was probably best for him to let her cool off for a bit. And the perfect thing to pass the time was definitely... to deal with that maid.

Kaeya had a big smile on his face when he entered the maid's break room.

Ah... and there she was! Along with many other maids too!

"Master Kaeya!" one of them exclaimed. A few of them hurriedly stumbled to the feet, the others wearing looks of confusion to see him in here.

Kaeya heaved a sigh, running a hand over his face.

"I'm not here for any conversation. I'm just going to say one thing."

Kaeya made eye contact with the maid that had previously been at the table with (Y/N). Her pupils darted away as she gulped.

"If (Y/N) wants to be left alone, then I expect that to be respected. It doesn't look good on the winery with all of this gossip," Kaeya muttered. "The least you could do is honour my father's legacy and not tarnish the winery's reputation."

"To make things short," Kaeya's eye narrowed, his stare piercing through all of them, "leave (Y/N) alone."

With that, Kaeya left the room. Hesitantly, he made his way downstairs to the basement.
