Yunho
Five days have passed since then.
The conflicted couple of course spent time together, although it was still hurting Yunho he was lucky enough that Seonghwa convinced Mingi to give him a week. He was pessimist, Yunho had to admit. It was like he was already foreshadowing. He was certain that Mingi's memories wouldn't return by the end of the week and he had to accept that. He's trying for the love of god. If it does turn out that way, atleast he got to spend an entire week with him for the last time. Fuck why was this so hard?
Yunho also noticed that Mingi was in his office for hourse in the middle of the night, doing god knows what.
Today was a very sunny day and Seonghwa and Hongjoong decided to invite them for a small picnic with the kids by the lake.
"So how's the week going? Any changes so far?" Seonghwa changed the topic and everyone knew what he was talking about.
Yunho took a bite of his apple pie, remaining silent. He had nothing to say knowing Mingi is being asked. Unfortunately, for him, he already knew the answer. Yes the awkwardness is still there but not to the point that they wouldn't talk to each other.
"The kids have been bringing us together." Mingi says, giving one of his orange to Sam who was sitting between him and Yunho.
There was some truth to it. Sofia had been pulling them together since then. Yunho hated how someone her age knew what was going on and had to deal with two adults who can't even talk their situation out. She is too young to experience a broken family. And he hated that might actually end up seperating at the end of the day, not that the second chance was useless, it still gave them a while to spend time together.
Yunho was afraid. Afraid of what could possible happen with the kids. One thing is sure, he doesn't want to be seperated with the kids or Mingi. Why can't they just stay together?
"That's good to hear." said Hongjoong, handing PJ a juicebox before she ran off to the lake where her brother and Sofia were feeding the ducks with pieces of bread.
Seonghwa searched for his pudding, "How old is Sam again? He's growing really fast." they glanced at the mentioned baby who was silently sucking on the orange piece Mingi gave him. Not putting those two little milk teeth of his to work.
Yunho chuckles at the sight, "He will be 10months old by the end of the month."
They continued to talk about the most random topics they could think of while the kids were still giggling all together while feeding the ducks. Yunho couldn't help but notice that Sofia and TJ were maybe a little too close lately. He had a hint of what it meant but decides to ignore it, having crushes is not a sin. Though if the (old) Mingi realizes it, he would have to hold him back from throwing hands. Sofia was very precious to him and there was no way a boy is taking her away from her Dad, as Mingi would say.
Yunho had no problems with Tyler though, he had babysit countless of times and he's very reliable if you ask him. So he had no conflicts if Sofia did end up dating him in the mere future. But maybe he was thinking about this too early. They're still children after all and maybe their friendship was just platonic. Again, he has no problems with the two.
"Hey, this might sound a little sudden but the kids asked us if Sofia and Sam could stay at our house until Sunday, you know have a little sleep over." Seonghwa mentions, drinking his drink while eyeing their reaction.
Yunho was taken aback, "A sleep over?"
"What for?" Mingi added.
"Yes, just a little innocent sleep over. Don't worry we'll take care of them, Jongho and Yeosang will be flying today to visit and the four of us will watch over the little ones." Hongjoong says, trying to sound convincing as possible.
