Getting ready for something is a real game-changer. It helps me feel more prepared and confident, which ultimately leads to a better outcome. But getting ready is also a difficult task to handle.
And for someone like me, who is in the music industry and paprazzis try to get pictures of me all the time, looking good and being prepared are crucial.

I swipe a hand over the dress I am wearing to the gala. It is stunning. Simple yet stunning midnight blue silk gown. It is sleeveless with spaghetti straps. It was also backless, and it had a slit that showed off my legs. The skirt was draped beautifully, flowing elegantly as I walked. The dress hugged my curves in all the right places, exuding sophistication and class.
I quickly put on my accessories, made up of diamond stud earrings and a delicate silver bracelet, to complete the look. I set my hair down in loose waves and added a touch of red lipstick for a pop of color. I did simple and light eye makeup. Finally, after putting on my heels, I am ready.
I do look gorgeous right now.
"Honey, your date is here." Mom knocks on my door.
I grab my purse and open the door for her.
"I have told you a million times already that he is not my date. I am just helping him out." I affirm.
"Come on, you never know what it might be." I roll my eyes at her statement because there is nothing going to happen between me and Taehyung.
"And, you look absolutely stunning, sweetheart. Have fun tonight." Mom smiles at me before I head out the door. As I walk down the stairs, I can't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my stomach.
