Rachels POV:
I rubbed my eyes and sat up. Dustin and Sirin were fast asleep. Dustin was wrapped in several blankets while Sirin had thrown most of hers off in her sleep. She was spread out all over the floor and her arm was flung over the pile of blankets that had somehow accumulated on Dustin. I turned to see Ira asleep on the balcony. Why was he out there? He had fallen asleep on the floor with us. The door to the balcony hadn't even been open last night. I pushed off my blanket and picked it up. I went over to Ira to check, and he was fast asleep. It was a bit chilly out. I don't want him to catch a cold or any of the others to either. I put the blanket on him and closed the door. I leaned against the railing and looked at the garden. Everything was so peaceful. I simply enjoyed the moment until I heard the door open and a yawn. I turned to see Sirin. I gave her a smile and she gave me a small wave.
"How long have you been up?" Sirin asked leaning against the railing next to me.
"Not too long." I said and turned back to the view.
"You know I've always been jealous of the royal gardens." Sirin commented as she stretched her arm above her head.
"I can understand why." I commented.
"Have you seen the tenders?" Sirin asked changing arms.
"The what?" I asked. Was that a flower or a group, "Or who?"
"The tenders are the merceniares who use their powers to help tend to the gardens." Sirin explained. So it was a group.
"No I haven't." I replied.
"I hope you do. Watching them work is amazing. Emilia is the best of course." Sirin continued. It went silent as Sirin continued her various stretches.
"Do you know why Ira is out here?" I asked when she seemed to be done.
"He probably woke up at some point during the night and wondered out here. He does odd things when he is tired." Sirin said looking at Ira, "Strange he had the sense to bring a blanket."
"He didn't I brought it out for him when I woke up." I said looking at Ira. He hadn't even brought a pillow he was just sleeping against the ground.
"That makes more sense. One time we found him asleep under his desk." Sirin commented. I let out a small laugh at the idea of Ira curling up under his desk falling asleep, "Another time he got up, not fully awake. Ira never wakes up fully awake, and he tried to teleport down to breakfast and instead teleported up onto the roof." Sirin said with a smile. I let out another laugh.
"I hope that woke him up."
"It didn't!" Sirin said with a laugh, "He just looked around confused until Richard went up and rescued him." We burst out into a round of laughter.
"What's so funny?" Dustin asked joining us on the balcony stepping over Ira.
"Just discussing Ira and his sleep brain." Sirin said.
"Oh that." Dustin said with a playful smile, "Honesty he's a threat to everyone when his brain is off."
"Oh, oh, remember the time he forgot how to get dressed. He tried to wear socks as gloves he put a vest on before his shirt, which he didn't button right at all, and he wore the worst color pants ever." Sirin said mostly to me. That sounds like it would have been hilarious to see! Once more I started to laugh with Sirin joining in. To my surprise even Dustin laughed a little. It was pretty quiet, but he was laughing and smiling. We heard a grumble and turned to see Ira pulling the blanket over his head.
"Should we wake him up?" I asked. I looked over to see the sun in the sky.
"Give him a minute and he'll wake up on his own." Dustin said. I looked at the blanket that was hiding Ira from view. I seriously doubt that but alright, "If you want to do something you can start packing for our trip to the beach."
