IRENE'S POV
"Manang, ano bang trip mo today at nagpasama ka sakin ng alas otso ng gabi dito sa mall? "
Nasa mall kasi kami ngayong gabi at di ko alam kung anong katripan ang pumasok sa utak ng kapatid kong mahabang baba at maikli ang pasensya sa buhay pero kay Fred ang haba ng pasensya niya mas mahaba pa sa baba niya.
"Eh kesa naman samahan mo ko sa umaga di ba? Edi sunog tayong dalawa? Edi namatay akong virgin?" Sabi niya, napairap na lamang ako sa sinabi niya.

Makalipas ng ilang minuto ng pagiikot sa malaking mall na ito, napatigil ako sa aking paglalakad ng tumapat kami sa isang store na ayoko sa lahat na pupuntahan miski si Theo ay bawal na bawal dito.

Narrator's POV.
Samantala, nagkaroon ng pagpupulong sa malaking headquarters sa underground city kung saan dito nagkita kita ang mga representatives or hindi kaya mga leader na bawat gang sa underground. Mapa mafia, gangster or assassins man yan at palaging kasama sa meeting na ito ang acting King na si Claes o mas kilala na ang The Count.
"What this meeting is all about, The Count?" Tanong ng isang representative ng Blue Lily Assassins na si Lavender.
"I don't know, find out later when all of the invited members of underground society is present on this meeting room" Simpleng sagot ni Claes at sumandal sa kinaupuan nito, nagtaka ang ilang representatives kung bakit hindi ito nakaupo sa mismong gitna sapagkat ay siya ang acting Mafia king sa underground city.
"Hey hey hey motherfuckers! " Napatingin naman ang lahat nang marinig nila ang boses ni Matteo na kakapasok lang sa meeting room at agad na umupo sa gitnang upuan kung saan nakaupo dapat ang Mafia King.
"Hey Falcone, that seat is for mafia king only!" Suway naman sa kaniya ng isang leader mula sa Dark lagoon mafia na si Dian.
"Shut up, Dian! soon this seat will be ours. And besides the acting mafia king doesn't seat here, why? Are you giving us the crown already?" Matteo teased Claes who is very calm and collective. Matteo didn't care if Claes is a vampire because he sees him as a weakling one or should rather underestimating him.
Claes looked at Matteo with a calm yet dangerous expression. "You should be careful with your words, Matteo. This seat belongs to the true king, and he will reclaim it soon."
Matteo smirked arrogantly. "Oh really? And who might that be? Because from where I stand, it looks like you are too scared to take your rightful place."
As Matteo continued his taunts, a chilling silence fell over the room. Suddenly, a presence was felt behind Matteo, and the atmosphere grew heavy with tension. Matteo's smirk faltered as he felt a cold, dangerous stare on his back.
Standing behind Matteo was Ferdinand, his crimson eyes glowing with menace. Every member in the room, except Claes, felt a shiver run down their spines at the sight of the true Mafia King.
Ferdinand's voice was low and threatening. "It seems you've forgotten your place, Matteo. The throne is mine, and I will reclaim it. Spread the word— the Mafia King has returned."
Matteo shivered in fear, shock evident on his face. He had thought Ferdinand was retired for good, but here he was, back to reclaim his throne. Slowly, Matteo rose from the seat meant for the Mafia King and moved to his designated spot, his arrogant demeanor shattered.
Ferdinand, with a commanding presence, took his rightful seat. The room fell into a tense silence, every eye on the Mafia King. He looked around the room, his piercing crimson eyes taking in each representative before settling on Matteo, who flinched under the intensity of his gaze.
Clearing his throat, Ferdinand began, "I have returned to address a grave matter. As you all know, the balance of power in the underground city has been disrupted. I am here to restore order and assist an old ally, Stefan Meindhart, the former leader of the Drachen Mafia, in finding his wife's killer."
The room buzzed with murmurs as Ferdinand's words sank in. He raised a hand, and the room quieted once more. "Stefan's wife and daughters were brutally murdered, but for now, I will keep the identity of the killer to myself. Let us proceed to the agendas at hand."
Ferdinand then began to hear reports from the other representatives, addressing various issues within the underground city. Each report was met with his focused attention, his presence commanding respect and fear in equal measure.
Once the meeting concluded and the representatives began to leave, Ferdinand remained seated. Claes stayed behind as well, knowing something significant was about to happen. Matteo, however, hesitated, his instincts telling him to leave but his curiosity rooting him in place.
As the last of the representatives exited the room, Ferdinand moved with lightning speed. He lunged at Matteo, pinning him to the wall with his vampiric prowess. Matteo struggled, but Ferdinand's grip was unyielding, his crimson eyes glowing with a terrifying intensity.
"You and your brother will pay for what you did to my future son-in-law's mother," Ferdinand growled, his voice dripping with menace. "Do not think for a moment that your actions will go unpunished. I will make sure you suffer for your crimes."
Matteo's eyes widened in fear, his confidence shattered. He had underestimated Ferdinand, and now he was at the mercy of a true predator. The room's temperature seemed to drop as Ferdinand's threat hung in the air, a promise of retribution that sent shivers down Matteo's spine.
With a final shove, Ferdinand released Matteo, who stumbled to regain his footing.
"Remember this moment," Ferdinand said coldly, "because it is the beginning of your end."
