"FRED!!" Malakas na sigaw ni Imee nang makita si Fred na binaril sa may bandang dibdib nito, pagkababa ni Imee ay agad naman niyang sinalo si Fred na ngayon ay umuubo ng maraming dugo at nanghihina.
Sila Bongbong at Theo naman ay tumingin sa lackey sniper at sabay silang umtake sa kalaban, nauna na nagbira ng malalakas na suntok si Bongbong habang si Theo naman ay ginamit ulit ang Kurogami sa Lackey.
Samantala, napatumba naman si Fred at nakahawak ito sa kaniyang dibdib na may tama ng bala "Arghh.. Imee...Darling"
"Fred hold on please! Just hold on, Darling!" Natatarantang sabi ni Imee, mas lalo siyang nataranta nang umubo si Fred ng dugo na siyang nagningning ang mga mata nitong pula.
"Imee...my Darling" Sambit ni Fred, punong puno na ng dugo ang bibig ni Fred dahil sa pag-ubo nito ng dugo.
"No please, huwag ka muna magsalita Fred! Just hold on! Tatawagin ko si Edward para gamutin yang mga sugat mo" Singhal ni Imee, halata sa kaniyang mga mata na takot mawala ang kaniyang asawa.
"I'm sorry... if I made you worr... worry," Fred uttered as he coughed up blood, clutching his chest. "Maybe... we... aren't meant for... each other."
"No... no, don't say that! I'm your wife, Fred! Please, just don't die today... I can't afford to lose you," Imee cried, her tears welling up as she held his hand tightly. She tried to stop the blood from flowing, restraining herself from giving in to the temptation of his sweetest blood.
"I'm... so weak... right now, Imee... I can't hold on much longer."
"Yes, you can! You're Drachen! The most ruthless mafia leader! You can hold on! Please stop talking and wait for Edward, please, Darling... I can't... I can't bear to lose the one I want to spend my life with forever."
"B... but Imee... you're a vampire... and I'm just... human," Fred coughed up more blood, then slumped against Imee's shoulder. Imee's tears fell as she sensed her husband's heartbeat beginning to fade.
"You... you can live... forever... while I'll... die of old age... but I want to thank you... for giving me a reason... to feel emotions again... You're the reason I... smile... You made me feel loved... even though I'm a ruthless Dragon of the Mafia..." He smiled bitterly, blood trickling from his lips.
Imee hugged her husband tightly. "Fred... don't die on me... please... I can't afford to lose you..."
"Imee... take care... of our unborn child... the one we made... out of love... maybe... just maybe... in my... next life... I wish to see you... again... and be... your husband..." Fred coughed up blood one last time as his heartbeat slowly faded away.
Fred managed a faint smile, his eyes softening as he gazed at Imee.
"I... love you... Imee..." His voice was barely a whisper as his strength waned. With one final breath, he closed his eyes, his body growing still in her embrace.
