In a softly lit office adorned with calming artwork, Jungkook sat nervously, his hands fidgeting in his lap. The scent of lavender hung in the air, meant to soothe but failing to touch the raw edges of his anxiety. The leather couch beneath him felt foreign, as did the prospect of unraveling years of buried pain to a stranger.He silently cursed himself for not bringing one of his brothers or parents but this was something that he needs to do himself. Namjoon and Yoongi who accompanied him to the clinic today and they were waiting outside. It calmed Jungkook a bit knowing they were here with him.
Dr. Park, a middle-aged psychiatrist with a gentle smile, sat opposite him, her expression warm and inviting. "Thank you for coming today, Jungkook-ssi. I know this might feel overwhelming, but I'm here to listen whenever you're ready."
Jungkook nodded silently, his eyes darting around the room, avoiding direct contact. He shifted uncomfortably, the memories of his past threatening to flood his mind. Taking a deep breath, he began slowly, "I... I was told that I was adopted when I was only a two years old. They were kind at first but then it changes."
Dr. Park listened attentively, nodding occasionally to encourage Jungkook to continue. He took a breath. "At 8 years old, they started to hurt and hit me. It continues until I'm 15..." He gulped and stop talking. He looked down at his shaking hands. Tears pooled in his eyes. He can't do this. He wanted to go home. He was silent for a moment.
Dr. Park leaned forward slightly, her expression caring. "Thank you for sharing, Jungkook. You are very strong for doing this. Healing takes time, but you've already taken a huge step by seeking help."
Throughout the session, Dr. Park guided Jungkook gently, asking about his current coping mechanisms, his support network, and his feelings about reconnecting with his biological family. She assured Jungkook that his reactions were normal responses to trauma and offered strategies to manage his anxiety.

"Appa? You called me?"
Namjoon looked up from his desk hearing the small voice from the door.
"Ah, Jungkook. Come in."
Jungkook nodded and walked into his dad's study room. He sat on the seat in front of the desk opposite of his father. "Do you need anything, dad?" He asked. "No, bunny. I want to discuss something with you. About your school." Jungkook tensed. Excitement and also anxiety bubbling inside of him.
"I have finalized everything for your admission. I have a meeting with the principal yesterday and he agreed to take you in. Your class teacher would be briefed about your condition so they would be ready if anything happens." Namjoon spoke looking at the younger who was fidgeting on his seat. "The admission are in two weeks. Are you okay with this, bun? If you feel that you are not ready or feel too early, I can pushed the date further."
Jungkook bit his lips before shaking his head. "N-no. The date is fine." Was he ready to start his school? No. But his Dad had been working so hard for him and he didn't want to add more by pushing the date.
Namjoon nodded. "Alright, if that so. How about you go with Yoongi and Hoseok too buy your things for school this weekend. They are surely free." Jungkook smiled. "Okay Dad."
~~~
"Ready, koo?" Hoseok asked as Jungkook went down the stairs. The younger nodded walking to the dinning table to have breakfast. Jin was cooking by the stove while Yoongi was helping him. "Good morning, Yoongi hyung, Appa." He greeted going around the counter to hug his father." Jin smiled and left a peck in his head. "Morning, hun." "Morning, kookie."
