We all care about her

Reader's PoV:

"Can someone turn off the light's please," I whimper, as I attempt to cover my eyes with my arm, trying to shield my eyes from the light, due to the fact that the light hurts my eyes, the pain was unimaginable.

"Is that better?" Regina asked after turning off the lights.

"Yes, thank you," I mumble, lowering my arm, letting it come to rest on my stomach, as I slowly open my eyes, looking at Regina, who was standing over me, smiling down at me, I smile back up at her, suddenly I get unwanted butterflies in my stomach.

"You're welcome," Regina says as she started smoothing some of my hair out of my face, I wasn't quite sure what was happening, I just knew I liked it, whatever IT was.

"How are you feeling?" Ruby asked from the other side of my bedside, I felt a little embarrassed at realising that Regina and I wasn't alone and I know Ruby will most definitely saw us smiling at each other and would ask question's about it at some point, I just wish I knew what I was going to tell her, slowly I turn my face away from Regina and look at Ruby with a smile.

"My head still feels big, and my eyes hurt," I said as I also noticed Mary standing next to Ruby, great that means I'm going to have both of them asking questions.

"Do you need anything?" Mary asked me, giving my hand a little squeeze.

"I just need to talk with my friends; however, I think I might wait until my head isn't killing me," With that said, Regina stopped stroking my hair, I instantly missed her touch.

"That reminds me, someone named Miss Dowling called your phone," at hearing Miss Dowling's name, made my heart skip a beat, followed closely by heart-ache, "I didn't answer, I let it go to voicemail," Regina tells me, I noticed Mary and Ruby share a look and I'm pretty sure it didn't go unnoticed by Regina.

Before Regina had a chance to ask, any questions, about Miss Dowling, Sheriff Graham appeared in the doorway.

"Hello," Sheriff Graham said just inside of the doorway, before entering my hospital   room and coming to stand at the bottom of my bed, "how are you feeling?" he asked, however before I had a chance to answer, Regina stood up from the chair she was sitting on beside my bed.

"She is still in a lot of pain and needs to rest, doctor's orders," Regina basically shouted at him, making me wonder what was going on between them? Especially since there seems to be some tension between them.

"I was hoping you might be up to answering some questions?" Sheriff Graham asked me, completely ignoring Regina's little outburst.

"She won't be answering any questions today, you will have to wait until tomorrow," Regina says taking a hold of his arm, guiding him back towards the door, "why was Regina being so protective?" I ask myself as I watch Regina with new eyes.

The Girls:

It was getting dark outside, and once again we were worrying about y/n.

"Can we go one night where we are not worrying about y/n? Or trying to stop Terra from calling Miss Dowling?" Stella asked in annoyance, with hands on her hips.

"Let's try calling her again," Musa says taking out her phone for what felt like the hundredth time that day.

"Musa?" Y/n answered after only two rings.

"Thank God! Are you alright?" Terra asked with worry in her voice.

"yes, am alright, sorry, I didn't make it today girls, there was an accident as I was just leaving town, I wasn't hurt, however I have been asked to remain in town for a little longer," I hated lying to my friends, I just didn't want them to worry unnecessary, plus the last thing I wanted or needed them to do right now was call Miss Dowling, I would tell them the truth at some point, once I'm finally out of this town, however I felt that wouldn't be anytime soon as I think back on Ruby telling me, about bad things happening to people who try to leave town.
