Chapter Seven: Stone World - The Beginning!

[Flashback]

"Let's say I did let you live, right? You would develop civilization just like before. Can you promise that you won't do that?" Tsukasa asks. Senku chuckles.

"The hell are you talking about? I could promise anything to stay alive." Senku states.

"No. You would never lie. Not when it comes to science or the possibility of me killing Hikari." Tsukasa states, "So will you promise me, here and now and for all eternity, that you'll abandon science? If not for your life, then for Hikari. She'll cry. Because if you can make that pledge, you can live, and then I won't be forced into killing you."

"Senku..." Hikari breathes out.

[Light Flashes]

"No, I can't. I can't do that. Science... makes her smile." Senku responds. Tsukasa takes a deep breath and Hikari's eyes fill with tears.

'No... please... I'll never smile again if you die, Senku.' Hikari's thoughts say as she reaches out for Senku.

"Senku!" She cries out.

"Of course not. I knew that would be your answer." Tsukasa responds.

[Light Flashes]

"Just kill me in one blow. Because leaving me to suffer till I die is both illogical and inefficient." Senku tells him. Hikari slowly tries to move again, trying to stop Tsukasa. She gets thrown off with ease and she gets up again.

"Don't worry, Senku. I'm going to sever your cervical nerve. It'll be instantaneous." Tsukasa promises, "You'll be knocked unconscious and die without suffering. I won't miss."

"No! Please!" Hikari pleads, "Senku! Please!" Yuzuriha runs over to her and stops Hikari by grabbing her hand. Hikari struggles to get free.

"Senku... I have a feeling that if we met each other 3,700 years ago, before all this, before the planet was turned into a stone world... I think that you might've been my first real friend. You and Hikari." Tsukasa states.

"Maybe." Senku states.

"Senku!" Taiju yells.

"SENKU!" Hikari screams out trying to pull away from Yuzuriha. Tsukasa moves and Senku looks at Hikari before closing his eyes to accept death. Tsukasa breaks his neck and Hikari screams out. Her scream echoing across the silent world.

Tsukasa imagines what his life would have been like if he'd been friends with them before the world was turned to stone. Hikari would be smiling and laughing with his little sisters and holding onto Senku's shoulder as she rode on the back of his bike. They'd have sent seven little dolls into space. The sound of Tsukasa breaking Senku's neck is heard as his little doll, Kimi's and Mao's is erased.

"Ohayou Sekai... GOOD MORNING WORLD!" The earth is shown with the strange light over it from space before the area of Japan is shown. The light flickers across the planet before Senku and Hikari are shown walking together through the forest. "I dunno just how long I have walked... Carried by the blisters on my feet... Whoa!" They pass a tree and Senku is shown in his room as a little kid before he looks up from thinking to find a younger Hikari grinning at him. "Telling the story of this path I've traveled. Crossing through the night that felt so long..." Light Flashes and Yuzuriha is shown standing in the hall at school and she turns to look towards the window. Her eyes widened before a shadow was shown from above. "Dreaming a picture perfect scene WHOA! It has sustained me through my endless battle!" Light flashes and Taiju, Hikari and Senku are shown on the roof. Taiju was stretching, Hikari was laughing and Senku looked bored. Taiju throws his arms up and the sun is shown, causing another light flash. "To the peaks of the heavens... the palace, so lush and green... Rocks caves in the dark depths." Senku is shown with machine parts as he appears to be thinking and Hikari appears before him with a gentle smile on her face. She looks up as her face is shown up close as she gasps and light flashes behind her causing her to vanish. "Horizon's ending! I'll travel through them all! So limitless!" Senku is shown standing in front of Hikari before Tsukasa is shown surrounded by an evil red aura as he walks towards them. Mao is shown reaching for Tsukasa before the wind blows and she vanishes before Tsukasa's glaring face is shown up close before Hikari is shown crying like a ghost. Music plays as Gen is shown with a devious smile while Chiyo and Kimi are shown standing beside one another with smiles on their faces. "To reach the boundaries of the earth!" A pulley system is shown before other devices are made using primitive technology and then the Kingdom of Science flag is lifted up into the air. "OHAYOU SEKAI GOOD MORNING WORLD!" Kohaku is shown flipping around in the air before Asahi, Kinro and Ginro are shown holding out spears while Jade and Cinder high five and giggle. "Clear the darkness of the impossible!" Inside the science lab hut, Chrome, Senku and Hikari are shown standing together. Hikari smiles at Senku as he grinned looking up at her. "Make legends come to life with just a wish on a star! On A Star!" Kaseki is shown working before Ruri is shown with her eyes closed and her hair floating out behind her. Flint is shown bowing before he vanishes. Light Flashes and Suika is shown in a field of flowers. "Guided by the will we've carried all along!" Taiju is shown standing before the stone version of Yuzuriha as he stares at her closely. Light flashes and Hikari is shown standing between Chrome and Senku as the two face opposite directions but Hikari faces forward, touching their shoulders. "Let's go explore the world!" An iron rock is shown exploding into feathers before Senku is shown standing in front of the giant moon and Hikari takes his hand standing beside him. He turns to look at her and the two grin.
