Ava stood looking at the ship as she was checking things off. She looks up when Hikari, Senku and Chrome arrive to have a look at the progress. She walks over to them.

"All right. Looks like they'll have the ship in shape in no time!" Chrome comments.

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but..." Kaseki begins.

"We've got a problem." Ava continues.

"Problem?" Hikari asks.

"Some parts are too short, some misaligned, some poking out! And now on top of all that, the hull's starting to warp!" Kaseki explains and Ava nods.

"We fix one side and the other falls apart." Ava explains, "The wood just isn't what was available in the past."

"I don't know what to do! I'm sorry, guys!" Kaseki whines.

"Hey, it's not your fault, Kaseki." Ukyo tells him.

"Oh, you're so good to me. I might fall for you!" Kaseki jokes and Chiyo giggles.

"Not really what I was trying to accomplish." Ukyo responds.

"That's my job." Chiyo says.

"But even in our time, shipbuilding on this scale required expertise and very advanced techniques." Ukyo continues.

"Eh, that's not the issue." Senku states.

"We could just keep at it and learn from our mistakes like always." Hikari comments.

"I mean, the Kingdom of Science is practically built on trial and error." Senku adds.

"How many years would that even take?" Magma asks.

"Hopefully less than it takes Why-Man to make a move." Ukyo explains.

"Uh-huh. I never accounted for that part." Senku says, "We no longer have infinite time with the Why-Man clock ticking. Change of plans."

"Huh?" Everyone says.

"Let's ditch the giant ship. It'll be a smaller boat with a limited crew." Senku explains. Everyone gasps in shock.

"What do you mean by a limited crew?" Chrome asks, "Most of us won't be able to go, then!"

"Yeah. And I'm gettin' on that ship." Yo states.

"Ooh! Do I really have to give up on all my work?" Kaseki whines, "But I love my sweet little shippy-boo!"

"It makes sense." Hikari explains.

"Give up? On something we want? On my big, beautiful, full-scale sailing ship?" Ryusui asks and then he walks over to them, "Hikari, Senku. I'm going to make us a model of our vessel. Ava, will you assist me again?" Ava looks over at him and she gasps.

"We're going to make that one again?!" Ava asks, "I loved it! It was simply breathtaking!"

"Yeah. Then we'll blow it up for reference. Kaseki can reference my model to rework what we've already got started. I think we can pull it off. Right, Hikari, Senku? Or am I wrong?" Ryusui asks. Both turn to look at him.

"You're right, we can." Senku agrees, "As long as we've got an absolute fanatic who can make a one 48th scale model that's up to snuff, and I'm talkin' ten billion percent accuracy here. Got it?"

"Yeah, I believe in you. I might get on your case about the pain in the ass snaps, but you're the most experienced." Hikari agrees.

"Who do you think you're dealin' with?" Ryusui asks, "I'll make you a ship that's truly worth getting excited about."
