Leonor
After we had spent some time gazing out of the lobby window, we all made our way to the elevator. Hannah and Elena's room was on the second floor, so they got off first, waving to us and telling us they would see us downstairs for dinner later.
The rest of us were rooming on the third floor. When the elevator opened, we entered into the hallway. It was dimly lit, with wood paneling covering the walls. Gio and Chloe waved us goodbye as they walked down the hall to their room; it was on the opposite end of the hall.
It was just me and Gavi left in the hallway.
We slowly made our way down the hallway to our respective rooms. I tried my keycard, but it didn't seem to be working. Shit.
"Pablo! My door won't open!" I yelled. He came to stand beside me and tried to door himself. The lock seemed to be jammed. Just what we needed.
"What am I supposed to do?" I groaned, throwing my head in my hands. He laughed a little, which made me look up at him.
"You shouldn't be laughing right now. This is serious," I reported. His face returned to a solemn smile.
"Just stay in my room for the night. Unless my door doesn't open, too," he joked. I shot him a look. I was about to be staying in Pablo Gavi's hotel room. With him. Alone.
I groaned, opening the door and leading the way into the room. It was huge, with a panoramic view out of the beckoning window. But, there was a real problem.
There was only one bed.
Shit.
I heard him groan from behind me. This was the least thing I was expecting when I came here today.
"Great. This is great," I laughed, tossing my bag onto the floor near the chair. I flopped down onto the bed and closed my eyes in defeat.
"Just to be clear, this is my side and that is yours. Even if we're close friends," I clarified, sitting upright and looking at him. He was settled in the chair, watching me like a hawk.
He just nodded again, laughing a little. I'll admit, it was a bit funny.
"I'm sorry about this," I said shortly. He just shrugged nonchalantly.
"No big deal. It is what it is," he answered. I thought I could hear a hint of happiness in his voice, but maybe I was imagining it.
"We have to get ready for dinner soon anyways," I said, standing to my feet and walking to the bathroom. "I get to use the bathroom first, too," I teased. He just smirked.
Maybe I wasn't so mad about sharing a room with him. Maybe part of me had wanted something like this to happen.
I entered the bathroom and flicked the light on, staring at my reflection. I looked tired, but I was. I felt tired from the journey today.
We were all meeting down in the lobby dining hall at 6 PM. We still had an hour.
I used the bathroom, brushed my hair, and applied some skincare.
I reentered the bedroom to find Gavi hunched over my suitcase, digging through it.
"Move!" I yelled, pushing him out of the way.
"Sorry," he murmured, throwing his hands up in defeat. He hadn't gotten far into searching my suitcase. I dug through it to find the dress I wanted before I zipped it back up, glaring at him.
