                                                                                              Leonor

We were making good time on the journey to Paris. Chloe was right about her being a good driver; she sped in and out of the lanes and honked at cars that were driving too slow. It would have annoyed me if I didn't know her, but we were in a rush.

I hoped we would make it. If we didn't, I wasn't sure what I would do. Gavi would hate me. He would be terrified that I hadn't been answering his messages.

He was persistent with them. I still hadn't answered a single one.

Sofia sat in the backseat, while I sat in the front with Chloe. We had just crossed the border into France, so we had to get our passports checked before continuing.

The worker at the toll booth had been slow, so Chloe angrily snatched the passports out of his hand and drove off. Not the smartest move, but it worked.

Traffic hasn't been terrible, besides leaving Madrid. We were still a long ways away from Paris, so hopefully we could make good time.

"Are we there yet?" Sofia teased playfully. I reached over the armrest and slapped her. Chloe gritted her teeth in concentration.

"It's okay, Chloe," I whispered to her. She just shrugged and continued driving. She was taking this very seriously, and I respected that.

We drove for a while, small drops of rain pelting the windshield as we moved north. Chloe was still gripping the wheel tightly, he knuckles turning right with the effort.

"We're getting close to Paris," she said quietly, and I pulled up the GPS on my phone. This was where things could get difficult.

I trusted Chloe with my life.

Traffic began to pick up as we neared the bustling city. I had never been to Paris before, and even if I only saw it for a bit, I was still excited.

A car cut Chloe off, and she cussed angrily. Sofia laughed a little, and I gave her a look.

"This is terrible traffic," Chloe groaned, smashing her head on the steering wheel. We were at a standstill a few minutes out of traffic. It was still early afternoon, and we were making decent time. We were supposed to arrive in London for this evening; I wasn't sure that we would be there in time.

We had to be there in time.

Eventually, the traffic began to move, and Chloe pressed on the gas, zooming down the highway. She passed tons of cars, some of the people flipping her off angrily as she flew by. Chloe didn't seem to care, though. We had places to be.

I had booked our flight during the drive. It left from Paris at 6 PM and arrived in London at 8:30 PM. I hoped we had enough time to make it to the hotel before he arrived. If we didn't, the surprise would be ruined.

Chloe took the airport exit, driving us into the parking lot. We parked quickly and lugged our suitcases out of the rental car trunk, locking it behind us. After we made sure we had everything, Chloe led the way into the airport to get us registered.

I couldn't believe we had made it.

I had Chloe to thank for that.

We all scanned our luggage, and it was shipped away to be brought into the plane. We hustled up the stairs, finding security and getting through easily.
