                                                                                           Leonor

It was our last full day in Switzerland today, and I was already missing it. Today, we were attempting to go skiing again. After what had happened to me on the first day, I wasn't sure if I was ready.

I sat up in bed, rubbing my tired eyes. My body ached, and I was freezing cold. I pulled the covers tighter around myself as I stared out of the window. It was beginning to snow.

I was going to miss the chilly weather; Madrid was cool this time of year, but it would still be warmer.

Madrid. I hadn't thought about my home or my family in a few days. It felt kind of good to forget all of my responsibilities for a little while.

Things would return to normal, and I wouldn't be on a vacation with my best friends. We would all return to our respective parts of the world; Chloe and Gio to the United States, Hannah to Italy and Elena to France.

Of course, Gavi would be coming back home to Spain with me.

I rolled out of bed, soaking in the feeling of my last relaxing morning. I made my way to the window, gazing out and down onto the slopes. People were already out skiing, and it was barely 7 AM.

We were meeting in the lobby for 8, so I had a little time to get ready. I slipped into my black snowsuit for a second time, slicking back my hair into a low braid and applying some light makeup. I had some time to to kill, so I scrolled through my phone for a bit before it was time to head downstairs. I took the elevator alone and reached the lobby a few moments later.

Gio and Chloe were sitting on the couch together, and Gio placed a gentle kiss on Chloe's cheek. I wanted  romance like theirs, one that was raw and realistic. She had given up a lot for him, moving to Germany and all.

"Good morning," I greeted them, taking a seat beside Chloe. She gave me a small hug.

"Are you excited to go skiing again?" She asked me playfully. I just rolled my eyes, remembering my ankle injury.

"A bit nervous," I laughed, and she joined in. Soon, Hannah and Elena joined us.

"I can't believe this is our last full day here," Hannah groaned, rubbing her forehead. Our flight departed from Bern at 7 AM; too early for me.

"Me neither. It went by too fast," Elena said, picking at her fingernails.

I was determined to have one last good day here. Nothing would be getting in my way today.

Gavi emerged from the elevator a few moments later, and after a few short greetings, we left through the terrace of the lobby and took the stairs down to the slopes. It was much quicker than driving. I saw tons of people skiing; little kids, teenagers and adults.

A girl did a flip down the slopes, which gained a gasp of shock from all of us.

We reached the ski rental building shortly after, and I checked all of us in. I claimed our skis and sizable boots before we all sat down to put them on.

"You nervous?" Gavi asked me gently. He was strapping his boot into his right ski. I looked at him a little before answering.

"Not at all. I've learned a lot since the last time I was out here," I laughed, licking my dry lips. He smiled and helped me to my feet.

Hannah and Elena hit the big slopes, like usual. The rest of us cheered them on until they reached the bottom. I was envious of them, especially Hannah. She made it look so graceful.
