                                                                                           Leonor

"What do you mean, he wants to see me?" I asked, irritated. Chloe was sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at me.

She had just informed me that Gavi wanted to see me. In his bedroom.

What more did he need? Why should I pay him any attention at all?

"Please," Chloe pleaded, giving me puppy dog eyes. I wasn't sure why she was so insistent.

"Fine," I spat, standing up and brushing off my skirt. I groaned internally as she led me to the door. I locked it behind me, giving it a firm shove to make sure it was locked.

"I'm going to regret this, Chloe," I hissed through gritted teeth, but she just shrugged. She was starting to annoy me.

As we made our way down the hallway to Gavi's room, I stood staring at the door. I thought about knocking, but restrained myself from it.

"I'm going to go now," Chloe whispered in my ear, giving my hand a small squeeze before leaving me.

Great. I was stranded here, with Gavi waiting for me on the other side.

He opened the door a minute later, staring at me.

"Hi," he said shyly. I returned the greeting, and he invited me inside of his room.

I sat down on the armchair, waiting for him expectantly. To my surprise, he pulled out a small gift bag with tissue paper inside.

"You got me a present?" I asked skeptically.

"I did. A few of them, actually," he said, handing me the bag. I just stared at it.

"Is this your way of apologizing without actually doing it?" I asked quickly.

He just laughed and shook his head.

"I wanted to make it up to you. I feel terrible. I can't imagine what you first thought when you saw me," he choked out, gazing into my eyes. I just sighed, fiddling with the tissue paper in the bag.

"You can open it now," he said calmly, as if he could read my mind. I began to tear the paper apart excitedly.

When all of the paper was gone, I unveiled the presents. The first thing I opened was a small package of coffee; caramel, my favorite. I began to blush, and I didn't try to hide it this time.

"How did you know I liked coffee?" I asked him curiously. He just shrugged.

     "Educated guess," he laughed.

I grabbed the next gift out of the bag, holding it in my hands. When I unwrapped it, my jaw dropped in shock.

It was a small pink clutch purse. My favorite color.

"It's beautiful!" I exclaimed, standing up to give him a hug. I pressed my cheek against his shoulder. It felt good to hug him; we hadn't hugged in a while.

"I have one more surprise for you, but it's not here," Pablo said slowly, staring into my eyes. I couldn't help but smile. This man always had a way to surprise me, even if he was pissing me off.

"What do you mean, it isn't here?" I questioned, cocking an eyebrow.

"We're going to go for a little drive," he said, guiding me to the door. I sighed impatiently as he locked it and led me to the elevator. We made it into the lobby and out into the parking lot, where he entered the car and started the ignition.
