Gavi
It was incredibly hard to tell Leonor the news. I hated myself for it. I would always hate myself for it.
It wasn't that I didn't like Barcelona, it was that I wanted to assess the opportunity in front of me. I had been given an incredible offer, an incredible chance to change my career for the better.
The offer was from Manchester City. They had given me a huge sum of money, and I had negotiated to check out the facilities before I made any major decisions.
My flight left early tomorrow morning; I couldn't sleep. I was tossing and turning in my, restlessly messing up my sheets. I needed to be asleep by now, or I would miss my flight.
I couldn't stop thinking about Leonor. I couldn't stop thinking about seeing her wave goodbye as I hopped into my car. I imagined her standing there, watching me for the last time in two months.
I rolled around in bed some more before finally settling down for sleep. I would try my best to put this all behind me, and enjoy the two months that I had. At least, enjoy them the best that I could.
I woke up the next morning in a rush. My head was aching and my legs were sore. I rolled out of bed gingerly, rubbing my forehead. My alarm clock ready 4 AM; I had to be at the airport for 5 AM to catch my flight. The flight the England that could seal my fate.
When I had told all of my friends, they had been a little shocked. Pedri had tried to convince me not to go, João had seemed disappointed, and Gio had told me to follow my heart. Whatever that meant anymore.
I didn't want to disappoint them, but I was going to do what I had to do.
I opened my phone to find a bunch of unread messages from my friends. I sighed, deciding to read them quickly before I got ready.
