Part 21

Leeknow was still angry with his friends and hadn't spoken to them since yesterday.

No one truly understood another's pain—not even if they swapped souls.

His friends waited in the garden when Leeknow arrived at school. He walked right past them without a glance, which shocked them. Leeknow had never ignored them like this before.

"Did he really ignore us?!" Han blurted out.

"I can't believe he's acting like this over that boy!" Lia crossed her arms.

"I guess it was our fault. We went too far - we didn't have to imitate that boy," Bangchan admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I'll talk to him," Yeji said firmly. She stood up and followed Leeknow.

Leeknow walked down the hallway toward his classroom when Yeji's voice cut through the noise.

"Leeknow? Leeknow!" Yeji called out.

He heard her but kept walking, his shoulders tense. Yeji quickened her pace and grabbed his wrist.

"Don't you think you're overreacting?" she demanded.

Leeknow whirled around, eyes flashing "I think you were the ones who overreacted!"

"Okay, we're sorry," Yeji huffed, "but why are you taking it out on us because of that boy?"

Just then, Hyunjin turned the corner. His steps faltered when he saw Leeknow, then sped up as he brushed past without a word—leaving Leeknow's unspoken "good morning" hanging in the air.

Yeji scoffed. "Wow! You're giving us the silent treatment over someone who just ignored you?"

Leeknow's grip tightened on his bag strap. "Are you done?" He shoved past her into the classroom.

Yeji kicked the lockers in frustration "Stupid!"

The second bell had rung, but Yuna lingered in the school's restricted hallway with Wobin, Sooha, and another boy—where they definitely shouldn't be.

"Well, my dear," Wobin purred, sliding his hand around Yuna's waist, "consider your words my command."

Sooha giggled, nudging Yuna. "So you're coming, right?"

"Yes, of course I'll be there," Yuna replied, leaning into Wobin's touch.

Wobin tightened his grip like a snake coiling around prey. "Oh, my baby... Everything will be so much better with you there."

"Aww, how romantic you two are!" Sooha clasped her hands together.

Yuna smirked, tilting her head at Wobin. "Of course we are."

Then, the third bell shattered the moment. Yuna pulled away, suddenly all business. "Class is starting. I need to go."

Wobin groaned, grabbing her wrist. "Ughhh! Stay just five more minutes, love."

"No, I really shouldn't." She twisted free.

"You're killing me," he whined, locking desperate eyes with hers.

"Stop it. I'm leaving." She stood abruptly.

"Yah! Yuna—"

But she was already walking backward, flashing a peace sign. "Bye, guys!"

Yuna crept down the dimly lit service stairs—a restricted area strictly off-limits to students. The air was thick with dust, and the faint hum of the school's old pipes echoed in the silence. If a teacher caught her here, she'd be in serious trouble.
