Part 39

He was in bed, tossing and turning desperately, but he couldn't sleep. His heart ached with love and pain, heavy with longing. He just missed the times when Yuna smiled so brightly in front of him, her laughter like music to his soul. But now, those precious memories felt distant, slipping through his fingers like sand.

Leeknow's thoughts spiraled, his voice trembling with sorrow. "Why can't I see her anymore? Does she hate me now? The thought tears me apart. I never wanted it to be like this. I love her so much—it hurts"

Sometimes, the only way to choose the right path is to let yourself hurt.

Leeknow clenched his fists, frustration and despair crashing over him. "I don't want her to suffer because of me... but I'll destroy myself instead! What about my heart? It only wants her—only Yuna"

Exhausted but restless, he couldn't sleep at all. A small, fragile hope flickered in his chest—maybe today, just maybe, he would see her. But again, Yuna didn't come.

The clock read 3:20 AM, the night stretching endlessly. His eyelids grew heavy at last, and as he finally drifted into a fitful sleep, Yuna's smile—soft, warm, and heartbreakingly beautiful—was the last thing in his mind.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror, his fingers running through his hair before tying it up roughly. His mind was elsewhere—heavy with unspoken words and unresolved guilt.

Hyunjin sighed, determination flickering in his eyes. "After Leeknow and I get back from Busan... I'll finally tell Yeji how I feel. No more hiding."

He was slowly trying to rebuild his life, piece by broken piece. The trip to Busan wasn't just about escape—it was about facing the past "I need to apologize to Leeknow's parents"

Nervously, he dialed Leeknow's number, but there was no answer. His pulse quickened. "Strange" He called again—still nothing.

Hyunjin's brows furrowed in frustration. "He never ignores my calls like this! What's going on?"

Just as his worry peaked, his phone buzzed—Leeknow's name flashing on the screen. He answered immediately.

Leeknow's voice was groggy, laced with sleep. "Why are you calling so much?"

Hyunjin huffed, half-relieved, half-annoyed. "First of all, people usually say 'good morning.' Are you still asleep?"

A tired grumble came through the line "Good morning... I just woke up."

Hyunjin rolled his eyes but smirked. "Well, hurry up and get ready. We're going somewhere."

Leeknow paused, then sighed in resignation "...Okay."

Yuna lounged across the couch , absently crunching on chips as some variety show played in the background. The glow of the TV painted her face in shifting colors, but her mind was elsewhere—somewhere far lonelier.

Then, her phone buzzed. Yeji's name flashed on the screen.

"Hello—"

Yeji's voice cut through before she could even finish, breathless and urgent. "How do you know when you're in love?"

Yuna nearly choked on her snack. "What?! Do you love a boy?"

"I don't know exactly," Yeji admitted, her voice softer now, vulnerable. "Tell me... how do I know?"

Yuna hesitated. The words came out before she could stop them—each one a razor against old wounds

"You feel confused around him. When he speaks, you get shivers. When he's close, your skin burns. And sometimes... you can't look into his eyes because you know you'll drown in them."
