141: Side Story 1: Coach Aotori, Don't be Angry

THE NOISY STADIUM was crowded with people, and audiences of all ages were entering the venue one after another, chatting amongst themselves. The grand venue's large screen prominently displayed the protagonists of this match:

Schweiden Adlers vs. MSBY Black Jackals.

In the crowd, a well-dressed young man was sneaking through a passageway on the other side. As he passed by the crowd, he even heard his name mentioned:

"Hey, is Kobayashi Aotori now coaching the Black Jackals? I think I saw it on Twitter before."

Not the coach! Just an assistant coach! And what's with posting it on the internet? How come I didn't know about it?! The antique Kobayashi Aotori stiffened.

"That's right! And this time Kobayashi Aotori's opponent is none other than his former teammate, Ushijima Wakatoshi! And the one he had a grudge against in middle school, Kageyama Tobio. This match is going to be really exciting!"

What do you mean by my opponent! Which team's assistant coach goes on the court! And why are you remembering middle school grudges! Shouldn't it be more about Hinata who was once his teammate?!

Kobayashi Aotori feared that if he continued to listen, he would be unable to resist revealing his identity and having a lengthy argument with them. That would be never-ending.

He quickly sped up, swiftly passing through the special passage and heading toward the Black Jackals' court.

Just as he thought he had successfully passed through, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind:

"Hey? Is that Aotori?"

In an instant, he practically sprinted, breaking through the crowd in a few quick steps. The people around him only saw a blur as he disappeared like a streak of lightning.

The three people behind exchanged glances, with Azumane Asahireeling back his half-extended hand, looking at the quickly disappearing blue figure, then turning to meet the eyes of Sugawara Koushi. They all saw the helplessness and amusement in each other's eyes.

...Aotori, why does it feel like his life has become more difficult after quitting volleyball...?

KOBAYASHI AOTORI, having escaped the crowd's "clutches," breathed a sigh of relief. He looked up and found that in his haste, he seemed to have stumbled into an even more dangerous place—!
