If you were to tell her that Yuzuru had somehow planned that whole thing to propose to her, Kana wouldn't have believed it.

Well, most of all, she wasn't quite sure what the Japanese customs in these things were but she was almost certain that the grand scale of events of that night was nowhere near normal.

Sure enough, it wasn't as if she was going to say no. This was her person, the one man in the world that she felt comfortable with and without a doubt, the one key individual to make her whole life far better than it used to be.

The old Kana wouldn't even imagine how much she was losing by being in the dark about her identity and the people in her life. Hell, the old Kana would never believe in marriage after less than a year of dating.

All at the same time, her old self could have never predicted how one session on an ice rink could change her life for the better.

She wasn't unhappy by any means, but the life she lived in the past was just that, living. What Yuzuru managed to change in it was that his presence made her enjoy it.

Even now, as embarrassed as she was to be surrounded by people as her brain ran at a million times per second in an attempt to fully grasp what was happening, Kana could feel the intensity of her feelings for this man and how different he made her feel from everyone else.

Yuzuru made her feel loved, cared for and most of all, valuable.

When your life manages to turn so much like hers did, it is easy to just allow things to happen and forget about the importance you can have on others, either by being kind or even providing with ways to make them feel better about themselves.

His impact on her life went far beyond what any other person could have, mostly because of their old but undeniable connection.

It isn't often that you're able to believe in miracles or magical cures. You can't expect everything to solve itself and suddenly make life way better but the truth was that with him, she felt exactly like that.

They wouldn't really be any different than any other couple. There were fights and misunderstandings, but the important part was that the love always won when it came the time to solve all of it.

You can either believe it or not, but with them, it always felt like it was meant to be.

There didn't seem to be a single obstacle able to pull them apart. Hell, not even complete memory loss.

One could even say that the mere fact that their connection was so great that it didn't vanish despite everything else meant that they were always destined to meet again and be by each other's side.

No one knew the future or what awaited them but when he asked that one question, surrounded by their family and friends, Kana knew it well. There was no way she could let this man go. No way she could deny him this, even if the paper didn't mean a single thing to her.

Marriage was quite essentially a vow to love and cherish each other despite all of the adversities that life could make them face. It wasn't an easy one to make, not when he was such a public figure with so many devoted fans.

But none of that mattered.

Kana didn't think much before saying yes to that man, her eyes filled with tears as he kissed her. The woman felt her body being embraced, their families, her best friend, everyone was a part of this defining moment in their relationship.

To anyone else, the whole thing might have felt a bit too much but when you knew the true meaning behind his choice, you could only admire this man.

Because Yuzuru, better than anyone else, knew very well how much her life had changed from the moment her memories started coming back. He couldn't have known exactly how it all was for her before but he was there to witness the little changes that happened gradually as her amnesia was slowly ripped away.

Doing this in front of the most important people in her life was just a show of how much he cared, how much he knew, and most of all, how much he loved her.

The whole thing was just a testament to how incredible he was for her and how much she wanted their relationship to grow.

If marriage was the right way to do it, then she could only dive in with her head first and ignore all of the What-ifs that could possibly appear in her mind.

No matter how, no matter when, it seemed like these two always had a way of finding their way to one another.

"Your soul greeted mine like a long-lost friend, and we loved as though we'd never known anything else."
