IT was a whole week since that day, and he hadn't left Umiko's mind.

As she laid on her futon, her mind ran wild with fictional scenarios as she stared up at her cracked ceiling. She wondered if he remembered her, or if he was thinking about her too.

It was a silly thought, but she felt... idiotic for thinking of such romantic thought of a guy she met only a week ago. Such a guy shouldn't be in her mind constantly.

There was a little boom in the upstairs apartment, and she sat up. She would hear padding of footsteps sometimes, but never a full on boom that big.  Concern laced her thoughts as she got up from her futon, slipping on her favorite pair of shoes and walked out the door, locking it behind her.

Now, Umiko always had a feeling about her upstairs neighbor, like she shouldn't mess with him out of a fear she didn't understand where came from. It wasn't anything against Saitama as a person, he was nice enough. She just got a feeling that it would be safer to avoid him.

But against her better feeling, she ascended up the stairs, to hear her bald neighbor yell: "Pay for my ceiling!"

Umiko gently rapped on the door. "Mr. Saitama? I heard a boom, are you alright?" She asked as her hand turned the door noob, pushing forward.

"Oh, hey Umiko. I'm fine. Monster just broke my ceiling." The bald man replied casually.

"Ms. Umiko?" She heard a deep voice say from behind her.

         "Genos?"

Genos lept from Saitama's balcony, leaving Umiko in Saitama's apartment, saying only "Stay here. I will be back."

Genos landed in a sort of split position, only needing one hand to stabilize himself, ready to attack.

He landed right in front of a cyborg easily three times his size, covered in a sort of armor that looked like a gorilla wrapped in impossibly strong armor.

Genos scoffed internally. Was this supposed to be a threat?

"I will eliminate you." Genos simply stated, like it was nothing but the way of the world, like it was calm, casual fact. Because it was.

Genos dodged and lept up in the air, spinning and landing gracefully on the balls of his feet, the palm of his right hand glowing orange with flame.

"Incinerate." He commanded, a powerful pillar of flame erupting from his hand like a volcano.

"I am armored gorilla, the third strongest fighter in the House of Evolution." The cyborg growled, his robotic voice erupting in the air.

"You are a cyborg..?" Genos mumbled to himself, gears ticking in his head. Was this going to hold some answers about what he wants to know. "You are going to-" Genos was slammed into the ground by the cyborg.

         Questions can wait.

Genos was gonna fuck the cyborg up.

As Umiko warily watched from Saitama's balcony, ducking behind the railing for her own protection, right before Genos's fire erupted up the sky.

"Holy cannoli-" she breathed out with a shakey breath, clutching at her chest. Umiko peaked over the ledge, now seeing the surrounding area charred and burned to a crisp, the large and bulky cyborg, de-masked and... well, not exactly... he wasn't going anywhere, that's the least she could say.

"Are you guys okay?" Umiko yelled down to the two, who were unscathed.

"We are fine." Genos called up, his palm still held up towards the cornered cyborg.

"Yeah, we're good. Thanks for the concern." Saitama added, holding a thumbs up.

Umiko rushed downstairs, running around the building, and meeting up with the two. "What happened?" She asked either one, still mildly confused.

"Oh, this guy tried to kidnap me to bring me back to study or whatever." Saitama said casually, as if bored.

"Oh- uhm... okay then!" She awkwardly laughed, mildly confused, but understanding somewhat.  "We are planning to find this 'house of evolution', Umiko. We should be back in a few hours. Genos told her as he burned the cyborg to ash, his gaze never leaving her face, as if to say 'keep looking at me, there is nothing wrong.' due to her eyes widening and her jumping as he set the cyborg alight.

Respectfully, Umiko was a little unnerved by Genos's bluntness and seriousness, but also somewhat had a feeling there was a reason he was like this. "A-alrighty then! Uh... call me when you guys come back?" She asked, smiling in such an awkward manner that she wanted to die right then and there.

"I wouldn't mind. Do you have your phone on you?" Genos asked her, holding out his hand. Umiko mutely nodded in reply, placing her flip phone in his hand, her fingertips lingering on the palm of his hand. He flipped it open, punching in a series of numbers. "My number is in here. I have your number already memorized, so we will call you when we are on our way back." Genos said calmly, placing her phone back in his hand, his gaze not leaving her blue eyes. His hand didn't leave hers, until Saitama spoke up. "Earth to Genos." Saitama snapped his fingers as if to try to wake Genos up from a trance. "Let's go, I wanna get back before that sale tomorrow." Saitama said, tugging him away a little.

"Of course. I'll see you later, Umiko. We will call when we're done here." Genos said as he and the bald hero began to walk away. Umiko just waved them off, her cheeks burning an flustered red, contrasting against her dark skin.

Internally, she was squealing and jumping around, her heart beating wildly, swollen with excitement and fluster.

Umiko decided in that exact moment, she wanted to get to know and understand Genos better. Clutching her phone in her hands, she turned around to walk back to her apartment, a little pep in her step. That feeling she had, she felt lighter, happier, the fluttering in her stomach making her feel like she could do... anything! It made her feel like there was nothing that could bog her down.

She was as happy as a sixteen year old girl could be.
