GENOS dried his hair off with a towel Umiko offered him, watching Umiko as she washed the teapot and cups she used to serve Saitama and Genos. He turned to the photos on her empty bookshelf again, staring at her family photos again, wondering what her family life was like, why she left her home. That kind of thing. "Are you sure you want to share? I can take the floor." Uniqlo spoke up as she went to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"I am alright with it, Umiko. I don't want you to sleep on the floor." Genos replied. As Umiko rinsed out her mouth, finishing brushing her teeth, she wiped her moth with a towel. "If you say so. I just don't want to make you uncomfortable, that's all." Umiko sighed as she walked twords her futon, sitting down and scooting over to make room for the blonde cyborg.

As Genos laid down next to her, he saw how her face flushed red. It was a little... sweet to see her so red for no real reason. Genos noticed that Umiko was on the very edge of her futon. He figured she didn't want to make him feel awkward, so that's why she was so far away. But he didn't want to basically be sleeping on the floor, so he put an arm around her shoulder, pulling her tight to his chest. "You do not need to sleep on the floor, Umiko. I will make sure you're as comfortable as you're trying to make me." Genos whispered into her ear, before resting his head on her pillow, still holding her tight. "A-alright then." Umiko whispered back, trying to close her eyes.

As she fell asleep, Genos was still awake. He silently stared down at her, gently brushing a lock of her copper colored hair behind her ear. Genos wondered what her dreams were like. Did she dream of money? Love? Adventure? He didn't know much, but every time he thought about her, his curiosity soared. He knew little to nothing, but yet his desire to know more soared. But for now, he decided to respect her privacy and just... rest.

But he wouldn't lie. She's cute. She looks like the exact opposite of himself. He was of an average height, spiked blonde hair, pale, slim face, and a cold metal body built for destruction and justice. But Umiko? The complete opposite. She was short, with long curly copper colored hair, a darker, chubby face with freckles along the apple of her cheeks, and a chubby body that was an obvious sign that she was well taken care of in her life.

In a bout of 'unthinking', he pressed his lips to the back of her head, letting his artificial lips linger there before he reluctance pulled away.

That... that surprised him. He didn't think that he would EVER press his lips to anything like that. And the strangest thing was, that he enjoyed it. He enjoyed giving her that attention, even if she wasn't awake fully.

Umiko let out a sleepy, happy hum, unaware of her surroundings, or the boy who was keeping her cuddled close to himself. Genos relaxed, entering his sleep mode.

Umiko woke up to the smell of bacon cooking, and Genos missing from where he slept that night. "Huh...?" She yawned as she sat up. "Genos? Where did you go?" She asked. Looking left, then right.

"I am in the kitchen." Genos called out to Umiko. Umiko silently walked to her kitchen, where she found Genos cooking something to eat. "What are you making?" She asked, her head tilted to the side a little.  "Breakfast." Was all he said, flipping the bacon over. "If you like bacon, that is." He added after a moment of awkward silence.

"I... I noticed how barren your fridge was, and went out to buy you groceries. I tried to wake you up when I went out, but you didn't wake up." He said. "Oh- um, yeah. I have hard times waking up in the morning." She said. "It's like you go into hibernation." Genos quipped as he put a plate in front of Umiko, then put bacon on it. "How long was I asleep?" She asked him. "For approximately fourteen hours." Genos replied without a hint of hesitation.

"Ah." She said softly, taking a bite of bacon, her embarrassed state evident.

"You are welcome for breakfast, though." Genos replied. "Thank you, obviously. I feel dumb for not saying anything." Umiko smiled. "It is my pleasure and honor. Thank you for allowing me to spend the night. I will move into Saitama's apartment as soon as today." He said, staring deep into her eyes.

Internally, Umiko was squealing. Again. He was making her breakfast? That was so so so romantic! She felt like she was reading the situation wrong, but Umiko had no problem with a guy making breakfast in any situation. She loved bacon and meat of any kind, really.

"Do you think Saitama would mind a new roommate? I mean, he likes his privacy, I think." Umiko replied, making a mini risk, and resting her head on his bicep. Genos froze a bit, and let Umiko keep her head there.  "And thank you for getting me groceries. I owe you a million times over." Umiko smiled, looking up at him.

"It is nothing, really." Replied Genos. "No- really. Anything you need, call me up." Insisted Umiko.

"Really?" He asked, bewildered. "Yeah!" Umiko replied with a genuine warmth.

As Umiko smiled at him, Genos realized that being closer to this girl... he like it. He enjoyed speaking to her. He wanted to be closer to her.

He will to get closer to her.
