Umiko's bright blue eyes widened in shock, her cheeks burning a shade of red visible on even her dark skin.

Umiko didn't think how the way she dressed would have Genos all bent out of shape.

It was a simple navy blue dress that hugged her hips a little, thin spaghetti straps, and a length that traveled to her ankles.  She thought it was plain, and appropriate to wear to a dinner.

"I- you look handsome too! And thank you for the flowers." Umiko happily took the flowers she was offered.

"It is my pleasure, Umiko. Shall we?" Asked Genos, holding his arm out to Umiko to hook around.

Umiko excitedly nodded in reply, hooking her arm around his.

Umiko took notice of his nice suit, and complimented him. "You're wearing sleeves!" She giggled, resting her cheek on his shoulder, the cold hard metal of his shoulder now perfectly clothed by his lovely new suit.

"I did, I felt that you would appreciate it." Genos replied with a silent nod.

Genos led Umiko out towards the street, and turning her twords the left. "I have spent the past few days scouting out restaurants that I belive you would enjoy." He blurted out with almost an awkward tone.

"Really?" She asked with a smile, excited at the prospect that Genos had out so much thought into this.

"Yes. I hope you liked what I picked out." Genos replied.

Umiko's heart was beating. She had never been taken out by a guy before, especially one that was so adamant on taking her out to somewhere fancy-smanchy. She was over the moon.

The closet thing she has had to a date when she was still in City K was when her and a boy her age ran off during a school field trip at a zoo to go see the Pygmy Hippo exhibit.

But this? Totally different. Back then, she was a ten year old running around with her friend. In the current present, she was crushing hard on the cyborg who lived in the apartment above her, and was currently taking her out on an actual date. The girl was over the moon.

Her heart was fluttering, her cheeks were bright red, and was overall just excited.

The streets were oddly quiet tonight, the only thing that rang out through the abandoned streets was the  crickets singing every now and then.

Genos held a cool demeanor, trying to make sure that Umiko herself was happy. He had never taken a girl out before Umiko. He was quite excited on the inside, beaming with giddiness that was hidden by his facade of calmness and indifference.

"Umiko, I feel I should have asked sooner, but do you have any allergies?" Genos inquired to Umiko, the red headed beauty on his arm.

"Nah, I'm okay! I don't have any allergies." She said, smiling. "I see." Genos replied.

"Sooo.... Where we going?" Umiko smiled, giving Genos a cute little curious smile.

"It's a surprise." Spoke the cyborg, returning her smile with a slight grin.

"No fun." She returned. As Umiko looked forward, she saw a taxi parked at the corner, Genos rushing twords the back door facing the two, and opening the door up for her.

"Shall we, Umiko?" Asked Genos, holding the door open.

Umiko excitedly got into the backseat, Genos following quickly behind her.

"Pardon me, Driver, but can you drive us to this location?" Genos reached into the breast pocket of his jacket to pull out a small sheet of paper.

The gruff-looking driver glanced at the sheet, and said: "that'll be thirty five-forty." He said.
